She nailed it.

I laugh when black people get outraged by these routine displays of anti-blackness. As if this kind of discriminatory behavior isn't present at every establishment, from restaurants like Starbucks to stores like Barney's. The writing is sitting on the wall, in unmistakably tall and bold fonts, but we still want to cry and protest. To who? Who is listening to your fukking protests? :mjlol:

I've seen a Black barbershop only allow customers to use the bathroom and allow anyone to use the phone for emergencies only. And a black manager at a restaurant did not allow me to use the bathroom because I wasn't a paying customer.
Are they being racist? I don't think so, but also I can't prove it

We all know rules like a dress code to enter a bar and bathroom access for paying customers, are certainly at the discretion of the employee and is not consistently enforced. Will a Black person get turned down for racist reasons? absolutely.
Is that always the case and is easy to prove? of course not

You will see a whiteman get turned down by a Black business if they choose to enforce a no-refund or no public bathroom policy because it's nothing racial about having such rules
if your telling me that black and white managers don't discriminant against black paying customers then you completely out of your league. you known damn well if either of them had to bend the rules, the white man gets to pee in the toilet and we get to pee in our pants.

I would waited in the car, but I understand because 2 breh was meeting a 3rd person. The two breh probab5 arrived in separate vehicles. The way they gone spin this is they gone say this vac bytch manager asked them to leave and tbey wouldn't. This is one of those rules that are only imposed on black people. Police and business establishments do this all the time to us. We be naive thinking they impose thet rules and laws on everyone. That's not the case.
You would’ve waited in the car..
Guaranteed 5 minutes later the cops would be knocking on your window..
It’s a war outside on black people..
Ain’t nobody safe..

What does that have to do with my point that the bathroom access policy is not innately racist and is found in various businesses, regardless of race?
At what point do we request details/evidence of the incident to determine if it was racially motivated?
Sorry but I'm not finna overreact to a video clip that lacks details

it has to do with the fact that play that policy shyt with us to cover up their bullshyt. there are plenty of examples on youtube where they tell blacks they can't use the bathroom, but let whites use it

if a Black business chooses to enforce that no public bathroom policy, should the denied non-Black person be allowed to sue for discrimination? how should a denied Black person react?

the fact that black business man chooses to uphold white discriminatory codes does not change the facts. the fact that i would have to buy overprice coffee to take a piss or shyt is class discrimination. black men who own coffee shop who do the same thing is just as guilty and stupid for imitating the white man. we never denied someone usage of the men's room because they did not spend money. that is white male privilege

nah. Businesses have rights, like citizens. That citizens' right doesn't guarantee access to using their phone or bathroom and it doesn't even guarantee access to the service they're promoting
Keeping the public from making a queue to use your bathroom like it's a concert/sporting event that will cause a poor experience for your customers has nothing to do with race. We'll have to disagree on this

I hate these protests. They're a crying for help against institutions which discriminate against us. They'll only notice through the power of violence. Then they'll start to make real concessions.

this has to do with you supporting fukk up policies that divides us. how many of out elders have fukk up kidneys because of policys like these that has existed for years. all i know is if it was someone in your family that they treated like this, you would be singing a different tune. black folks in 2018 should not be telling me that starbucks has the right to tell me to buy something in order to use the bathroom. this is pure barbaric.

They're closing all their stores on May 29th to educate their employees on racial bias.

How much more education do these people need? If they don't know by now, they never will. I appreciate the effort, but at this point, I'm convinced none of them are just unaware of what they're doing.

To all you c00ns who bring up them not buying something means they should've left.

The Starbucks official acknowledged that the incident is at odds with a common practice at Starbucks. The stores are “community” hubs, the official said, where people often drop in to use the WiFi or chat with friends without necessarily buying anything.

and

Starbucks does not have a companywide policy on asking members of the public to leave, a company official said. The company leaves safety and customer service protocol decisions up to store managers, said a company official who spoke on the condition of anonymity to freely describe internal discussions. Managers may leave restroom doors unlocked or add key-code entries if they feel the store is more at risk of criminal behavior. A store in the same area of Philadelphia was hit with an armed robbery recently, the official said.
