If those numbers are accurate it isn't great, AJ vs Ruiz 2 did over 1.5 mil in U.K PPV's alone and over a million on DAZN. Was hoping it would crack a million considering the promo, they started off poorly but in the end it felt like they did a good job, maybe they should have started stronger earlier. It's still not garbage numbers considering what the first fight did but some way off Bob Arum's 2 million buys prediction if accurate.

Think Bob Arum said it needed around 800 - 850 thousand to break even, that means Wilder and Fury shouldn't get much more than their guaranteed purse.
And this is why I laugh when people really convinced themselves Wilder deserved a 50/50 split...When his fights don’t generate close to what AJ fights do based off his name alone.

Yeah Wilder never deserved anything like 50/50, he's just had a fight with 1 of the top 3 heavyweights in a title fight, this should have done at least 1.2 mil and if they were the draws claimed would do over 2 mil. I wouldn't write off it being higher if it's not official yet but seemingly won't do anywhere near the projections. AJ is a much bigger star than them. Doesn't mean anything boxing wise in the ring but it does when it comes to splits. AJ vs Fury if done now in U.K alone would probably actually do 2 mil or close to it, it's a mega mega fight. Even in U.S it would do well on DAZN as people would want to see it. AJ offering 60/40 was very fair and good offer.

Lol...mr. punch from the gods

That came months after Ruiz constantly shytted on him saying he can’t box and that he was a terrible fighter etc....

People want to change the narrative on how things initially played out. Upon losing be game Ruiz all props and despite all the therioes as to how he lost he stated he was simply beating by a better fighter on the night.

No Wilder started making excuses, and Joshua only said a punch from the Gods months after because Ruiz was shytting on him so retaliated in that way. Wilder has no class and immediately after losing started alluding to reasons why he lost and days after said he was never hurt and the costume was the reason he lost. A classless hype job and a bitter loser.

Also punch from the God's just meant hit the perfect punch, which is true, that punch changed the fight, it was skill from Ruiz and also a bit of luck. He had a health issue but didn't make any excuses, certainly didn't blame a ring costume.

When has AJ did a million ppv buys? He fills up stadiums against no names but he isnt proven in America. Never has been.
