u literally posted the blueprint on how to beat em when he was int he amateurs.... nothing has really changed...lol
the first fight was...fightin fury after being away from boxing for 3 yrs......fury was seein where he was at...
all he needed was to get his legs back n he would comeback n walk thru him..and he did exactly that...
i said in another thread... wilder could have had most of the belts aj had...but his ppl kept em in the slow lane...
Yeah, I posted that to try show people he wasn't indestructible but they they were too far up his ass to see it. Riding him way too hard. If you can get hurt by Romanov when you fight higher level opponents you can get hurt too, not to mention he got beat up by another dude badly in the amateurs, and he got knocked down by Sconiers and Nichols. He was never this indestructable invincible force people and himself made out. The chin is something that you can still take from amateurs , it's the technical things that improve more, but if you can get knocked out in the amateurs you can in the pros. Another style that could cause him issues if he doesn't land is Ruiz, it's those that can get on the inside, take a few big shots and also hit him with combinations. That's why I always felt that was an intriguing fight.
Fury was terribly out of shape in the first fight and still should have clearly cleanly won, but he had zero behind his punches, this time he wasn't in perfect shape but it was enough where he could do some damage. The only reason they picked to fight Fury in the first fight was because it was a cherry pick, dude was literally mentally ill at the time still and physically very unfit, just look at the state of him, and he still lost convincingly. It was a cherrypick that backfired.
He walked through him, now his ducking has cost him hugely, financially and otherwise. He should have taken his opportunities when he had them rather than consistently ducking, but he didn't want to get exposed like he just has been. He may never want to fight AJ now after that (never did before), but even more so because while Wilder is capable of knocking AJ out for sure (and anyone in my opinion power wise) AJ could also clearly knock him out, brutally too, it could be extremely brutal and Wilder's history shows he may not want to risk that. The money will be lower now too, unless he gets Fury back in the 3rd fight, I'd never write Wilder off completely cause of his power, but if Fury boxes smartly (at times even tonight I thought he was too open and susceptible himself to being knocked out) and keeps landing he could stop him but worse next time. Losing 3 times to 1 man wouldn't be a good look.
