I gotta know what happened in Wilder’s camp. His conditioning looked awful, some idiot convinced him to add 20 pounds of muscle and he just didn’t have any real game plan.

Loyalty is a good thing but it’s time to get with a real trainer and let those other guys be ancillary help.

They mentioned during first round or so that his camp doesn’t worry about weight gain as long as he’s eating healthy & feeling good

Wilder has made it far off of his right hand alone he started really developing a jab within the last year. He has gotten extremely far. His camp should of put more on him to develop his skills
Hindsight is 2020 Tyson Fury doing the MMA training makes sense now seeing how he was grappling Wilder. He has never experienced someone putting all that weight on him and I doubt that was even part of his teams plan to even counter that

Mike was nothing like Wilder. Iron Mike had technique, a jab, quickness AND power. Most of Mike's damage was done fighting on the inside. He was coked up by the time he fought Buster Douglas. I think Lennox was his first real mismatch. He had a foot on him, power, and just kept saying "GET BACK" with that jab. Wilder has one punch that he catches everyone with.

Got knocked out by somebody he said had pillow fists, now imagine if a puncher had that approach and kept landing on him, would be brutal, I guess that was their approach to avoid punchers and cherry pick for 43 fights, first top class opponent and got destroyed and exposed. I don't want to see him go and fight more low level opponents, if he wants to improve he should keep fighting punchers, just get better, but Fury showed a blueprint on how to beat him, 1 that was obvious to many, but his competition was so cherrypicked for him they couldn't carry it out, but a top class fighter did, easily too.

Yeah I'm not in this camp of talking about his conditioning. I think it's clear that he just wasn't the same after that knockdown. He had a bad night and got outworked. It is what it is. It happened to AJ. It happened to Wilder. It happens.
