ok my thoughts about this card

fury vs wilder - my post from near the beginning of the thread
as much as i give grief wilder about his skillset and the randall bailey one trick pony shyt; ive never been a believer on fury either...fury beating klitschko is :gucci: to me..fury disgusts me alot..but you think a dude that lost 150 lbs in a short amount of time, had pigeon fat around his middle, and fought 2 lesser fighters that in no way challenged him would be food for an active, in shape champion like wilder...even picked wilder to knock him out cuz fury is chinny on top of his issues..and all it did was solidify what i had been saying about wilder..and then fury goes on to go life and death with otto wallin whose only other appearance on TV was a no contest he didnt look good in..which fury resorted back to the form that i always thought was awful and a joke...neither fighter has really leveled up..but fury fukked up getting opened up over his eye like that..so its not just avoiding the killshot right hand but also avoiding getting his eye ripped open again with a jab or a hook..wilder has more opportunity to stop fury but his boxing makes it hard to go with that...shyt might end in a draw again :heh:

martin vs washington (PBC) - i hate watching both of these guys fight..this fight shouldn't be the co main for a card like this...and whats worse is this an IBF eliminator..its shyt like this that is the reason charles martin will be announced as a former IBF Heavyweight champion of the world forever..no one wants femi fight martin again or femi fight washington...whats worse is its not like either fighter are coming off any sensational victories to warrant this...washington prior to ko'ing a washed helenius was known for outboxing wilder on some basic shyt before getting dropped...martin hasn't even done that on any level..dropping a fight to kownacki and beating c levels

navarrete vs santisima (TR) - i like navarrete but he's had more than enough showcase fights since beating dogboe twice...it should have been something more high profile for him...however this fight also has a biggest chance of a career mode glitch happening because santisima is an unknown asian that looks like he is a puncher based on his record..TBC

fundora vs lewis - this is the best PBC vs TR fight that they could come up with?!!! :gucci:...fundora should have took a L against jamontay clark in his last fight out..lewis is a 6 fight novice..why TR is putting him in with Fundora doesnt make sense..this fight should be a prelim and not part of the ppv card

again where an opportunity to create a supporting cast of stars comes up, PBC and TR both shyt the bed once again with this..thankfully there is a 13 to 20 buck option to go watch this in a theater :heh:

I think this cultivates an atmosphere of a lot of dikkriders too. They are scared to say their true opinions or the reality to avoid repercussions. There's a lot of politics in the boxing media. Certain fighters make it difficult if you say stuff about them, even if it's not disrespectful, others don't really care and just see it as a part of a game. It's shame that usually the ones who don't care get a harder ride than the ones who try to pressure others which seems unfair but I guess it's somewhat human nature for some. Don't think Paulie should have been banned for saying Fury won, he was just doing his commentary job, seems unfair, Wilder was very aggressive towards him after those comments and he rolls deep so he has some of these smaller guys shook.

Did this start with Mayweather? Less of him outright banning ppl but he would only give access to platforms that were mad complimentary of whatever he was doing.
This is interesting to me because Paulie still works for PBC. it's one thing to ban Youtube platforms and independents but when you create an environment where ppl on your own platform/network start being scared to be critical of you cause it might affect their career

thats what happened to teddy atlas..dude was too honest in the pac vs horn fight and now he is relegated to backstage segments and international cards on ESPN+ for TR and why we have tessitore, kriegel, ward, and timmy in the booth with mostly struggle commentary

Crazy, you'd think they'd bring him back since Manny bounced. Can't have this shyt in boxing imo. I think Tim is a platform homer but I considered Atlas, Max and Ward to be balanced enough. Honestly never considered Teddy got banned, figured he was focusing on training Olek, etc

Tyson will always talk shyt but he sounds more level headed in these last couple of interviews. He sounds in a better place, mentally I think he will be in a better place this time. The winner and loser will have no excuses in this 1.

Here’s another new 1...

Insightful comments in here about the training situations which go along with the vibes I was picking up on. He said at first he was unsure if it was the right move making the change, which would make sense why he appeared down and all over the place but now after spending 3 weeks with Sugar Hill he’s saying it’s a fantastic choice and he seems a lot better.

Sugar Hill comes across as a class act, a straight up man. His strong demeanour and sensible nature could have a calming effect on Tyson and make him take shyt serious. Sugar Hill doesn’t seem like the type of person you’d argue with because he seems too nice, he has a calm authority without being confrontation but you take him seriously because he has knowledge and brings it across well. I was very impressed with Sugar Hill’s interview he gave, he came across as top class and very professional, from seeing that gave me the impression he could have a good effect.

Tyson also mentioned how he misses Ben being around. Seems like he wanted Ben still around and involved but as he may not have been the lead man or comfortable with somebody else in Ben decided to step away.

There are no excuses...that's what this ppv should be called.

Yeah, hopefully no excuses or controversy this time, just a clean winner, best would be someone getting knocked out cause then you can’t complain. If it goes to points I hope they don’t have an unjustified draw again to try build up the 3rd fight. Would like to see a clear win.

The latest PBC video seems to
indicate both camps are going well so hopefully this is decisive. Then maybe we could get that elusive unification fight after if the loser agrees to step aside, even if it’s for just 1 fight and then they fought again after undisputed.
