overall dope card- ramos handled rosario, who has seen better days. that was a showcase i'm fine with that stoppage. rosario no longer at the level. ain't been there for a while.

i though pitbull started strong but got outboxed again. he looked the exact same as he did vs el rayo. he just a name for decent fights but the blueprint is out on him. take him into deep waters because he be gassing out and just fighting in spurts. from the 3rd round on, i thought fierro controlled the fight and outworked him even though he has less pop than cruz.

very impressed with cool boy, didn't expect him to win but he boxed brilliantly and controlled the fight all night. was shocked at how lackluster figueroa was. some guys just have your number i suppose. if i was inoue, i would hop up there at 126 and snatch that belt off fulton. i think inoue could do that again.

the main event went how i expected. benavidez grinded morrell down. i think morrell didn't have the experience nor gas tank to fight like that all night. benavidez never had one punch power at 168 he always was an accumulation puncher. but he wore morrell down by going to the body alot sapped his gas tank, those uppercuts and hooks was nasty. benavidez high guard and upper movement is sneaky. hard to really land super clean fight changing shots on him consistently.

i do think benavidez matches up better with beterbiev cause he would fight the style better but beterbiev power probably could break through better. i think bivol with his movement and countering would be a hard matchup for benavidez. but benavidez has fought a few different styles to develop a little bit. such as plant, morrell, andrade, dirrell in addition to some plodders. i'm glad he advancing his career not waiting on canelo.

i always believed canelo can beat benavidez based on his chin, experience and combo punching. but it's obvious canelo ain't been wanting to dig deep in that type of fight in a while.

overall good night of boxing

Great fight, frustrating fight to watch though.

Morell did so much right, yet so much wrong, that sitting in the fire with the ear muffs on, wtf was that? I get that it's easy to say from an armchair, but sheesh, get out of the way. When he spent half a round using ring geometry and jabbing, he tended the win the rounds in the exchanges.

Benavidez won the bout, but lost the psychological win, Morrell sorta embarrassed him a little. It doesn't mean much though, you still lost.

I don't think his chin holds up against Artur
You're possibly and probably right, just between the 2 titans, Beterbiev would be a better stylistic chance for him than Bivol.
He would fight different against Beterbiev..Benavidez is smart.
His different is only gonna be but so different. He's not an outside/mobile fighter.

Benavidez got calculated pressure and hes better at long range and inside has more variety to his punch selection while bivol better at mid range so he can jump in and out but its gonna be hard to do with someone with faster hands n fights "longer" than him. Betwrbiev just too naturally strong for him.
Not at all.

my thoughts on the card

like i mentioned ramos got a layup back into the swing of things. rosario is beyond washed and really needs to retire

fierro beat cruz IMO...it was a hell of a slugfest and a FOTY candidate but the blueprint is out on cruz...he is a fraud and the more he gets into these type of fights, the more it shows his true level..he is exciting so PBC wont let him take any ol' loss..he is self aware that his boxing IQ is low that he would lose to the top of the divisions...esp anyone that decides to box his ass..fierro just earned some more paydays

i was wrong about fulton...i was thinking he didnt have it mentally in him...after his last 2 fights...but this fight he righted a wrong even if it didnt live up to the first fight....this time he truly beat brandon figueroa..figueroa looked sloppy and struggle filled and got boxed up..even more surprisingly was also marked up too.that one fight a year shyt caught up to him..fulton is still quality.its just monster is an elite level talent...anywho bring on fulton vs leo 2..figueroa better have at least 2 more fights this year to get back in the swing of things

the main event was a hell of a fight..morrell performed admirably and even got him a KD..benavidez knew he was in a fight from jump...his power didnt necessarily carry all the way but his volume and pressure trademarked morrell by the end of the bell..at 175 he has looked more human benavidez...there are 175lbers he can beat but they will be hard fights...i dont think he will beat beterbiev or bivol and i dont think going to CW is a good idea....maybe he needs more time to acclimate but 175 is going to put some mileage on him..morrell im sure learned a lot and gained experience..i hope he doesnt get shelved and is thrown back in the mix as soon as possible

Told y'all can't put nothing past Boxing judges

Congrats for Fulton!! :salute:

That's why I can't stand that comparison round bullshyt. Each round should be scored individually and objectively full stop. That way if the momentum genuinely shifts towards the end of the fight, you won't end up with the wrong decision because you've given a fighter a couple of BS comparison rounds.

One of the worst examples I ever saw of this was Lederman scoring an Angulo fight back in the day. I think it was against Cintron but I can't quite remeber. Anyway, he'd given some undeserved rounds on some comparison shyt, but then the fight started going the other way which completely fukked his scorecard up:russ:. He ended up having to give a blatantly wrong score on the last round to make sure the right man won on his card. Watching him hit the Juelz trying to justify that shyt was hilarious
