Yes its very disheartening seeing the similarities of black Americans and Africans on the continent. The tragedies taking place in some parts of the continent are of course of much greater severity. However, I definitely see your point. There seems to be an overall sense of complacency among our people. No one gets outraged about the things that really matter nor has the heart to confront those who actually perpetuate death and destruction. I believe that is why we constantly find ourselves at the bottom. We don't have the heart to address integral issues affecting our communities. Some of us are riders but most aren't

Yes don't let nobody tell you Africans are better or that jive about Africans that come here and feel they are better than blacks here in the states.

We all have the same genes, if Africans were so better they wouldn't have to come here to get a better Education, Hospitals, better over all living. Nigeria has been Independent since 1960, and we still don't have a 24 hour light system nationally, we still use prepaid phones in 2015, and countless other issues I can name.

If history is true, the Africans that sold their own to the white man are the root cause of our problems and it has trickled down since then. You are supposed to protect your own, if we didn't do it then, that's why we ain't doing it now. History repeats itself.

I think he's talking about us ( the U.S ) going in to fight the war and then leave said country to defend/build itself afterwards and you get things like the Taliban.

It is true that Africans sold other Africans but that wasn't the only way the traders were getting slaves and.if they weren't sold to them then the traders would have just enslaved those people probably.

Yes but you are still supposed to protect your own, stand ur ground. If u know there is a wolf outside ur house and u have the resources to stop it from invading and u don't then u can't blame the wolf because that's what they do.

The burden is on u, especially when you have no problem dealing with ur own when they have erred. One of the richest people in the world is Nigerian, a lot of billionaires are from Nigeria, yet the roads are dangerously bad, no electricity system, people are literary hanging by a thread on life support and these type of crisis are going on.

Its no excuses, just like it shouldn't be no excuses to have a black President and the unemployment rate for blacks is higher than everybody else, blacks fill up the prison system just to name a few absurd things.

It doesn't stop with Obama either, we have black lawyers, Doctors, Judges, we shouldn't be talking about George Zimmerman being free today, Police officers gunning down unarmed black males with all these resources we have.

We are our own worst enemy, black people will defend and help everybody but their own. Its us

Islam has no place in Africa..
agreed. I think african christians need to do what the myanmar bhuddists do and just start eliminating it wholesale. they play no games and it's fukked up, but how else do you get to islam? it's such a powerful cancer

on another note i read a nyt or wash post article this morning talking about how the army just abandoned the village. that pisses me off so much. i already had disdain for african soldiers acting like pussies, but i also tried to sympathize with them because they might have shytty training, shytty superiors, shytty equipment shytty pay and all that. but leaving a village to the wolves is the most cowardly thing and if i was president of nigeria i'd make a strong example out of the men that abandoned the village. they have one job, and soldiers need to be very aware they are signing up to possibly die doing it

thinking about that brave village (it was the last holdout in the area) getting abandoned has me heated :demonic:

on myanmar cleansing their lands of islam
The latest flare-up began with an outbreak of sectarian rioting in 2012, in which hundreds of Rohingya were killed and dozens of their villages burned to the ground by radical Buddhists. Since then, close to 100,000 have fled the country, and more than 100,000 have been confined to squalid camps, forbidden to leave.

As conditions in the camps have deteriorated, international pressure has mounted on the government to find a humane solution. Instead, the government appears to be accelerating a strategy that human rights groups have described as ethnic cleansing.

For many Rohingya, the new policy, called the Rakhine Action Plan, represents a kind of final humiliation, said Mohamed Saeed, a community organizer in a camp on the edge of Sittwe, the capital of Rakhine State.

“People really fear this plan,” he said. “Our community is getting less and less. This is where they want us — out.”

Many Rohingya came to Myanmar in the 19th century when the British ruled all of what is now India, Bangladesh and Myanmar, formerly known as Burma. But the government’s demand for proof of residence since 1948 is too onerous for many, who either do not have the paperwork or fall short of the six-decade requirement, human rights advocates say.

Those who can prove their residence qualify only for naturalized citizenship, which carries fewer rights than full citizenship and can be revoked. Moreover, they would be classified as “Bengali,” rather than Rohingya, suggesting that they are immigrants from Bangladesh and leaving open the possibility of deportation.

The Myanmar government has given the estimated one million Rohingya people in this coastal region of the country a dispiriting choice: Prove your family has lived here for more than 60 years and qualify for second-class citizenship, or be placed in camps and face deportation.

there is a way to rid areas of islam, but it ain't pretty. africa still has a chance to do what europe can't because of human rights restrictions

Burma doing the same. the 280 figure...that's 24 days into 2014. muslims extremists aren't getting away with shyt in these countries

once islam gains a foothold and is not stiffly repressed by the state violence will spring up, as it has in thailand

The incident in Du Char Yar Tan, a village in Northern Rakhine state, appears to be the deadliest in a year, and would bring the total number killed nationwide to more than 280, most of them Muslims. Another 250,000 people have fled their homes.

Northern Rakhine — home to 80 percent of the country's 1 million long-persecuted Muslim Rohingya population — runs along the Bay of Bengal and is cut off from the rest of the country by a mountain range. It is off-limits to foreign journalists and humanitarian aid workers have limited access, adding to the difficulties of confirming details about the violence, which flared more than a week ago.

But evidence of a massacre, first reported by The Associated Press, has been steadily mounting.

in before a bunch of coli muslims think boko wouldn't have shot or burned their mom in the street cuz they're muslim. boko kills tons of muslims

Thanks for the insight brother. I've never really looked "up" to Africans, nor have I ever looked down on them. I've always considered all of us the same with the exception of differing cultures and customs.
And you make an interesting point about history repeating itself. We seem to be a race that constantly shoot ourselves in the foot and its repercussions transcend across many generations. Our circumstances as blacks TODAY have a lot to do with the failures of our people in the past and to a much larger extent, the present. If and when, one generation of blacks overcome cowardice and are willing to sacrifice for the greater good, then a bright future for our descendants will be solidified. Until then, things remain the same.

So you support Genocide of Muslims because of what....Boko Haram killed Muslims? Your logic is flawed and utterly disgusting. I think you may have mental issues.

I view islam as cancer and that's about that. I don't support genocide, I support strong action that pushes the cancer from the body (the state or community)

I'm fine with muslims existing in non muslim nations in very small numbers. even then a few are likely to attack

keep thinking i have mental issues while patterns of violent outbursts from the muslim community repeat themselves. :sas2:

you're deluded:ufdup:
