Yes its very disheartening seeing the similarities of black Americans and Africans on the continent. The tragedies taking place in some parts of the continent are of course of much greater severity. However, I definitely see your point. There seems to be an overall sense of complacency among our people. No one gets outraged about the things that really matter nor has the heart to confront those who actually perpetuate death and destruction. I believe that is why we constantly find ourselves at the bottom. We don't have the heart to address integral issues affecting our communities. Some of us are riders but most aren't
Yes don't let nobody tell you Africans are better or that jive about Africans that come here and feel they are better than blacks here in the states.
We all have the same genes, if Africans were so better they wouldn't have to come here to get a better Education, Hospitals, better over all living. Nigeria has been Independent since 1960, and we still don't have a 24 hour light system nationally, we still use prepaid phones in 2015, and countless other issues I can name.
If history is true, the Africans that sold their own to the white man are the root cause of our problems and it has trickled down since then. You are supposed to protect your own, if we didn't do it then, that's why we ain't doing it now. History repeats itself.
