Stop trying to justify your life's failures. You have no idea what her ambitions are. Money is not everybody's main goal. Either you're a troll or just a really annoying failure

would you shut the fukk up idiot. No where did i attempt to discredit the woman's accomplishments. I'm just stating that getting overly excited over getting a degree in a field littered with successful entrepreneurs that have NO degrees is not that big a deal.

And for the record, im certain my accomplishments far outclass yours dummy. How you came away with the notion that somehow i'm a failure is hilarious. Either way carry on with the party fakkit.

I hope this girl realizes that computer science majors tend to work for college dropout. Steve jobs, bill gates, Zuckerberg are all college dropouts. A well executed novel idea is far more valuable than a wack ass PHD

About the dumbest thing you have ever said, maybe in your entire life.

The first two men were damn near geniuses. Zuckerberg was making his own programs as a teenager, and was offered a job from Microsoft before he declined to attend school.

To just label them college drop outs is a joke.

Also, with a PhD in Computer Science, she will most likely be doing some research and algorithm development that may have significant impact on technology and the human condition.

I think don't think you understand what a PhD in Computer Science is and the level of intelligence is usually implies.

What the hell are you talking about. Those "geniuses" are still college dropouts, no matter how many qualifiers you place before of after the names.

And for the record, never did I dismiss this woman's achievements as some sort of easy feat. Getting a PhD in anything is difficult, let alone computer science. My only beef is the excessive adulation people are heaping on this woman for simply getting a degree, when in her very field many entrepreneurs have been wildly successful without any sort of degree. Again, if you want to throw a graduation party for the lady feel free to do so. Just stop trying to insult someone simply because they don't feel the need to do the same.

When she uses this degree to start a successful business in her field, or invents a new way to do computing or programing then I'll be impressed. Iregardless of my sentiments I'm sure she'll do well in the long run.

You know you implied "college drop outs" as a means to undercut this young woman's degree. This is disingenuous, considering it is well known that all 3 men were all near geniuses in their fields.

thats a valid point but the main reason why gates, jobs etc are stupid examples is that the people that jobs, gates and zuckerberg hired have college degrees, those guys dont fuk with you without a piece of paper, and all those people became millionaires, for every technology millionaire or billionaire there about a few dozens college graduates that get rich

entrepreneurism is a skill set and a talent, its something you either have or you dont, telling somebody to be an entrepreneur is just as obtuse as telling an somebody they should be a quarterback because quarterbacks make a lot of money

people should definitely try out different things just for the hell of it, but at the end of the day people have to focus at what they are good at, so telling this chick to be an entrepreneur is neither her nor there unless you think she has a talent for it

im not saying she shouldnt try it, but they way you said it is like she would be a loser if she doesnt become an entrepreneur that is why it sounds stupid

pointing to them is like pointing to a lottery winner. since the odds of winning lotteries are not great, she chose the most sensible option.

uhhh she's the first one at that school....EVER.. that sounds more like the Mega Lotto to me then a darn good idea turned into millions/billions.

That dissertation sounds really interesting. Maybe I'll throw it on the Kindle and read it some time.

i'm browsing the dis right now.

she's talking about a few things. the funny thing is. if you produce music or know anything about reverbs. especially a convolution reverb. you will actually somewhat understand what she's talking about.
