25 years ago I could have never imagined that I'd be more anxious and excited over a mid-term election than the Eagles actually making the Super Bowl. Hell, I actually WENT to work when the Eagles won it this year.

If I may ask, why the depressed mood in the old neighborhood? Too much apathy? Poverty? Enthusiasm for opposition?

It was myself, another black older lady and a younger white girl. These niccas from my hood like, "aye is the white hoe gone suck some **** for a vote?", they tried touching her ass, they start roasting the black lady saying she smelled like cats or had cats (I apologized to them over a hundred times in a span of 2 hrs), didn't know anything about who or what was on the ballot and some didnt have ID's(which at a min will keep the police from locking you up for small petty offenses so why not have it?). Just sad all around. The older folks and most people my age already early voted, of course or had every intention on voting. I signed up to drive people tomorrow so I'll be busy with that the earlier part of the day but plan to be home by 6 to watch the results come in.

I won't say who it is in Tennessee because I'm not going to share exactly where I live. But there is a congressional district where I think Republicans have controlled since the late 1800's and the seat is up for grabs after our congressman retired. The female Democratic candidate got A LOT of signs and really good ground game here in my city. I'm seeing way more campaign signs and support for her than I do for the Republican. I might highlight it if I feel comfortable doing so if she wins tomorrow. I got a good feeling about this being an upset.

There is a lot of support for her here and I've seen GOTV volunteers making the rounds. I'm optimistic.

Also just to note, Nashville when I've been there for a bit has A LOT of black women running for seats. I was happy to see that.
:merchant: We might be in the same area breh:pachaha:

If so, I don't think she wins, but it'll be a lot closer than people would think. Especially if Bredesen does well.

I'm sorry I even asked. That story even made me depressed.

And I got family out in AZ too. That story was flat out despicable.

I live in Chicago, Westside, probably not the best place to send a young white chick. When I first joined SOHH, I was living in Phoenix at the time and I just kept the name when they started this board after SOHH went down.

Ah damn, I forgot about John King. I've been on my "fukk CNN" for a bit but John King is the GOAT for the campaign shyt. Thanks for reminding me.

THE SCREEN! :blessed:
CNN will get my eyeballs tomorrow.

I saw both MSNBC and FOX copied the touch screen shyt but King been on this for over a decade.

Plus, their screens look kinda ragged. The CNN board look like 4K and the other channel screens look like them old box TV's :scust:

CNN it is :myman:

There's actually a chance that the GOP has fumbled at the goal line with the caravan fearmongering and it'll hurt them in certain (mostly east coast) GOP suburbs. Dems just have to ride the momentum through tomorrow and they might at least take over the House. After that it'll be up to the Progressive wing to pull a Freedom Caucus circa 2010 and sway the agenda as far left as possible and/or create as much belligerence towards the opposition agenda.

That fear the the Mexicans has been running for too long now. Lou Dobbs been on that since his CNN days in like 04. Same thing with the overplay on ISIS/Al-Qaeda. People have become too inoculated to it, especially in light of seeing how many white dudes are shooting up places in comparison.
