Words like "engaging" "Supporting" is all passive actions she recommends someone takes instead of actually carrying out their campaign goals. This really means that the former is what they are really afraid of and don't desire any substantial change and the latter is the easy feel good stuff you can make a #hashtag about on twitter but nothing about society at large fundamentally changes.

25 years ago I could have never imagined that I'd be more anxious and excited over a mid-term election than the Eagles actually making the Super Bowl. Hell, I actually WENT to work when the Eagles won it this year.

If I may ask, why the depressed mood in the old neighborhood? Too much apathy? Poverty? Enthusiasm for opposition?
