She shouldn't even bother to run again when she's up for re-election. She will be primaried and she'll be defeated by a landslide.
Gillibrand is not a progressive at heart. She moves where the political winds are. However, she was unopposed in the Dem primary and has at least 6 more years bro. I think she underestimated how much people weren't feeling the Franken shyt too. Soros isn't the only donor who was mad.

Yeah because nobody gave a fukk about her or her shadiness until she stuck her foot in her mouth calling for Franken's resignation, despite working for Hillary and Bill.

She tried to use Franken's situation to take the mantle as "Defender of Women" and pivot into a WH run and that shyt blew up in less than 24hrs.

She's on borrowed time.

Independents are cowards. Join the party. Direct the party.
fukk out my face p*ssy

Your thoughts on immigration, minimum wage, and war classify you as a fukkn republican. You are literally the person and voter we are trying to throw out the country and out party. The world would be better without you.

someone send this to MSNBC...they literally said on air that queens and bronx were 75% non-white like this was some sort of epiphany :russ:

the establishment democrats are shook right now...they are scared as fukk

Rep'd.

Need a movement. Not just a bunch of random voters.

Dem leadership deserves fault here. They should be encouraging a movement. Let the chips fall where they may. If you get voted out your time was up and get on board with the wave.

I suspect a lot of these people enjoy the power without having to do much work. :francis:

People in power like to appoint successors and formally hand off power because that in itself is a show of power. If they can get you to believe that Crowley was defeated because of changing demographics then they don't have to admit two things: 1) the people don't like their policies, 2) the people were exposed to new ideas and liked someone else's vision more.

Putting it on demographics means it was an act of God and change is out of their hands. No accountability. No responsibility.

Blaming this on demographics means they don't have to answer to the district voting for an #abolishICE politician.

My views on all of those things are core democrat principles. Obama and Hillary supported $10.10. Stiff immigrant but with compassion, without a wall, and with reforms to legal immigration.

War? You’re goddamn right I’m aggressive on pushing back on our enemies on any front. I won’t apologize. You’d let russia and China eat your lunch.

You’re *so brave* to be an independent. Wow. Good luck winning beyond liberal ass New York then bytch when races don’t get funded. Mind you the “establishment” you hate so much is basically undefeated outside of the 5 boroughs. Enjoy the win. I know I am.

I’m a pragmatist. You’re an opportunist anarchist. At least now we know.

Lemme see you keep this same energy when she realizes a $20 minimum wage can’t be supported in the Bronx.

She may well be vice president before then. But I hear you. I don't think a woman wins the primary against in 2020 and if a guy wins he has to put a woman on the ticket. She is the most high profile white woman politician after Warren. I think she will be around bro smh.

does she have a realistic chance against katko?
Not really sure but this was a situation where the people and all of the groups on the ground got behind a candidate and the DCCC basically tried to run a candidate that they have been in loved with for soem reason even though she hasn't done particularly well (I believe she ran for mayor somewhere up there I'm not sure).

Bro I do this after every election. Maryland doesn't have an open primary. I have no choice but to switch into the party temporarily and leave once the general election is over. I don't want muhfukkas to get it confused. I don't rock with y'all like that. I only like certain members of the party. The rest can kick rocks.
you don’t have the balls to join the very party you vote for them you wonder why you’re not satisfied.

If you switch sides, stay there. This is my party and I’m proud to be apart of it, in all of its forms.

You’re just selfish at the end of the day.

Your east coast myopia is showing again.

I keep telling y’all that y’all keep letting these east coast msnbc panels dictate what the non urban areas really thinks and operate and you stay surprised. Gillibrand is as liberal as you will get in her state as a senator.

Keep playing with fire. Same reason y’all want to give Joe manchin’s seat to a literal republican.

Yes, appointing successors is a show of power and legacy.

But Demographics do affect policy. He wasn't or rather his policy wasn't representative of his demographic so he rightfully lost. It really has nothing to do with those demographics shifting, but the people woke up. They found a candidate more in line with their views.

That's the way it should be. Let the representative actually represent their constituents.
