Sheriff Joe is running for US Senate in Arizona.
Hopefully its not a get rich scheme and he's actually running because if he wins the primary, its a layup for us (the Dems)

It doesn't really matter, just need the Republicans out. For a national good, and San Diego/California in general. I don't want a Republican lite either, which is probably the best to hope for. There's a woman who I am familar with, like my age, who is running for I think Representative, the cliched "San Diego Republican lite", CUT TAXES! FREE MARKET! Trump is a little TOO MUCH...but they aren't really for any productive social policies.
Doug Applegate is a good candidate.

Just curious, who here is for the federal minimum wage to be $15/hr? I believe the last chart I saw said that federal minimum wage tied to inflation would be a bit under $12. If that's so, I'd rather be for that. Other than high costs of living on the coast, why have it at $15 instead of $12?
tbh i am not sure of the origin of the 15 figure.
I think $21 is the number with inflation. Dems in DC were calling for $10, so $15 is kinda an in between. A compromise if you will.
