3 moderate/Independent crowds Dems need to look at:
1. That Hardcore Trump supporters. You can't say/do anything to persuade them.
2. The slightly gun-ho Trump supporters. Hate Trump's persona but love the economy's strong, the tax cuts, the good news in foreign policy, etc.
3. The anti-Trump crowd that won't support Trump but "Dems aren't motivating enough to get my vote either " crowd
Dems need to get two of these groups of people in the fold and forget about one of them.
You don't waste your time with 1.
And 2 is likely most of 1. No one actually cares about economic numbers, they care about their bottom line. Record low unemployment numbers don't put food on the table when you've long been employed.
So you win over 3 and you encourage the members of your base that aren't voting to vote.
