They don’t review ballot design prior to printing/distribution? While I definitely think it was done nefariously, seems like with the history of shenanigans in Florida voting both sides would be checking for shyt like this prior to the election. Post election it seems like grasping for, albeit warranted, excuses.

Secretary of State is in charge of state elections

If the Sec of State let's it slide and no court rules against it's distribution prior to an election then :yeshrug:

It's the same thing with gerrymandering districts and voter ID laws. Someone has to see the violation (usually the ACLU), file in court, then the court has to rule for or against. Most time it then gets appealed and tied up in more litigation. Like the case in ND, if a decision is made too close to an election the court may say changing the rules or ballots will cause undue burden on the election commission or confuse the voters.

In MD we had a gubernatorial candidate die mid primaries and they wouldn't reprint ballots without his name on it.
