I hope y'all not overplaying the "a million felons van now vote in Florida" card.

For one, it's a tad :mjpls: suggesting that felon = black voter. The majority of Florida's felons are NOT black.

Second, if it's like pulling teeth to get people who already have the right to vote to get out to the polls, what makes you think it's gonna be easier getting people who lost that right before to come out?
Nobody is saying this but you, though.....

Looking at some of the competitive races, control of the house could come down to how Black candidates do in mostly white districts that are in the lean and toss up categories.

For the Democrats

NC 2 - Linda Coleman
NY 19 - Antonio Delgado
GA 6 - Lucy McBath
TX 32 - Colin Allred
IL 14 - Lauren Underwood

For the Republicans

UT 4 - Mia Love

:lupe:

Update. 5 out of these 6 races went to the Democrats and so did the house. For me they were the true bellwether races that explained what happened, but went mostly unmentioned last night.

In short it looks like what happened across the country was that rural areas turned out close to presidential margins while other areas saw a decent increase but nothing major. This led to Republicans doing ok state wide but lose or barely hold on in districts that weren't heavily white rural.
