'18 Midterms: Dems win House by largest midterm raw vote margin ever

There are a lot of people who don't always follow elections who don't know things that are common to people who are always plugged in.

I'll say it one more time: Republicans will ALWAYS jump out to early leads because the rural areas are able to more quickly count their (fewer) votes than urban centers. Just keep this in mind so you don't panic when you see a Republican take an early lead in a close race.

The Kornacki types (and people who know their states here) will let you know when you should worry if the urban counties don't seem to be making the numbers that they should.
