I'm tired of this narrative being pushed that impeaching Trump is bad for the country.

“Despite all of Cruz’s problems—and there are plenty—here’s a guy who’s running around talking about Medicare for all, and impeaching Trump, and abolishing ICE. And it’s killing him,” Karl Rove, the former senior adviser to George W. Bush, told me in Austin this summer. “Even for people who dislike Cruz, impeaching Trump strikes many of them as terrible for the country. I’ve got friends and family members who may not vote for Cruz. They don’t like Cruz. But Beto isn’t contesting them. I mean, it’s just weird.”

He called repeatedly for President Donald Trump’s impeachment—a position rejected by Nancy Pelosi, and nearly every other prominent Democrat in America, as futile and counterproductive.

How you gonna ROFL with a hollow back?
Beto, whom I think will win, even if god forbid he doesn’t, he is set for the national stage. We found the charismatic star we need for what purpose, who knows? He needs to spend some more time, up and close with Obama. I’m not saying he is the savior, but his potential is off the charts.

:ehh: Hopefully we got a few votes today. Did all we could, spoke to a few really nice people. A nice ole sista gave me a cup of hot tea since it was so cold out :mjcry: Hopefully we pull this one out, I don't see ANY energy or excitement for Faso and didn't see not one person going door to door for him while I saw 3 other groups doing so for Delgado.

I really regret Dave Chappelle attaching himself to a doomed campaign. shyt isn't even close. :snoop:
It didn't have to be doomed though. Jealous by far has the best platform of any of the Governors running.

Maryland Dems lose statewide races because of lack of turnout ONLY. Hogan got it only because of that. Jealous will likely only lose by less than 5, which is astounding with the lack of national party support.

The ad with the baby just came on so I saw it for the first time but it’s a 1990s ass ad. Did some light searching and Menendez has been denying it since 2012 and the only sources reporting it as fact are right-wing sites, others have noted it but said unable to verify. I don’t know how it works in politics but I would try to sue, crazy to repeatedly campaign calling a cat a pedophile unsubstantiated.

Seriously though, Democrats are so stupid.

They wouldn't have had to waste money in NJ if they pushed Bob out.

Should've had like Sherrill or someone run in the primary

Somebody has to find a way to get rid of the old party boss system in NJ
Look, y'all can complain about Menendez all you want, but he won the democratic primaries. The party has nothing to do with this. If the democratic voters of NJ thought he didn't deserve to represent him they would've voted for Lisa McCormick. They didn't. The focus should be on them and their priorities, not the party bosses. At the end of the day candidates are elected. They do not elect themselves.

Is this "takes forever to vote" thing the result of Republican legislatures discouraging voting by reducing the number of voting locales?

In Inglewood and elsewhere in Los Angeles I never had to wait to vote at all that I can remember. Not even in 2008.
Pretty much. Once the Roberts court gutted the Voting Rights Act polling stations that were federally mandated were closed. Republicans used the time old financial excuse. White moderates ye shrugged it off, because they don't see racism unless it's in a white mask screaming n*****.

However, I will say that a lot of the people complaining about waiting in line the last few days or on Tuesday opted into that predicament. Early voting had been open in some states for 10+ days. Some of that may be due to not being aware early voting had opened or not having time because of work or parenting. That however does not excuse everyone and some folks should just fess up that they waited til the last moment.

I think a lot of Republicans are slowly realizing Trump likely is impeachable. So they've shifted from "he did nothing wrong" to we can't "impeach him it'd cause too much chaos!"

On the eve of President Donald Trump's arrival for their big rally, Sen. Ted Cruz revved up Houston Republicans by reminding them that his opponent wants to impeach the president.

"Do we agree with Beto O'Rourke that we should impeach President Trump?" he demanded Sunday at the Firehouse Saloon on the west side of Houston, sparking jeers from a crowd of 300. "You mean it would be bad for the prosperity, the opportunity, the jobs that are happening in Texas if Washington became a political circus of impeachment and chaos?"
Beto O'Rourke quietly supports Trump's impeachment; Ted Cruz is eager to raise the specter | Politics | Dallas News

Here Cruz is speaking against on the basis of it causing chaos.

In the original article, they try to bring up Nancy Pelosi and paint her as anti-impeachment but she seems to be more in favor of waiting for the Mueller investigation to play out first. This is consistent with what Beto has also said, but instead, they act like if he becomes senator he will single handily impeach Trump immediately.

Crazy how "Vote Cruz because he won't hold Trump responsible" is meant to rally Republican voters.
