Actually I really don't see how black people in this thread can feel some sort of way, especially when they weren't alive to experience it. That's not just a white thing. That's common sense. Its a reason you show up to the club deep. Its a reason gangs, The police, The Army, etc.. recruit. There is strength in numbers. There is a reason we'll never have a ground war against China.

No I didn't go through this but to know people actually did is sad. Plus my grandparents had to go through racism, my parents had to go through racism, which was fueled by events like this and things in the past. Hell even today we as a people still go through racism. So telling my not to feel some type of way is disingenuous. I would never tell a Jewish person to "get over" their history, just like we as blacks shouldn't get over ours especially when it still fuels the mindsets of people who run the country today and affects our lives.
I'm getting tired of people acting like this stuff happened hundred of years ago, we're only the second generation of blacks to have all of our rights. Remember you're grandparents (and if you're parents are a little older them too) couldn't even vote. We still have organizations today who haven't had a black anything because of our racist history.
