But now the narrative is he is a war veteran with PTSD and that will be his rallying cry long with hundreds of thousands of dollars paid to his private account for defense and to retire on once he's acquitted or gets out a in a few years.

Excellent point. I meet people all the time who say "yeah im war veteran" what you do over there? "I was an IT guy" or "I was a cook". I'm not saying those guys can't be put in a bad spot but too many guys come from over there with DuckTales. I served as well but I wasn't no damn specials ops either.

Point I'm making is don't use that PTSD as a copout. He already bailed out, next he will grow his hair out, and finally the local media will paint him as a confused war veteran who had a bad lapse in judgement
