White people can see Big Foot, LochNess Monster, Aliens, & Jesus in Toast.... BUT CAN'T SEE Racism or White Privilege!
Racism does NOT exist,
says the well-off white man living on the hill
Racism does NOT exist,
Says the white woman who had never been asked to drop her bag in the store
Racism does NOT exist, Says the white man who had never had trouble getting a job
Racism does NOT exist, Says the white man who had never been stopped by police
Racism does NOT exist, Says the white man who had never been murdered by the police
All my life I've been a modern slave with my chains decorated red, white, and blue.
“An invisible black (wo)man”,
through and through.
Yet, my skin offends many;
a black curse that is heavy.
I’m invisible, right,
but I’m number 1 on “America's Most Wanted”.
Never cared for or thought of until I'm spotted
as a black (wo)man up to no good.
Police believing they’re Robin Hood
yet they steal from the poor and give to the rich;
selling that sales pitch
that they “serve and protect”.
Nothing but bounty hunters with a badge, willing to collect.
Paid, by people's taxes, to collect the halo's of innocent criminals
only to sell them to Devil's who, themselves, are miserable.
All my life I been modern slave with my chains decorated red, white, and blue.
“A black tar-baby monkey”,
through and through.
That is all I am to America.
I’m just a statistic
being watched to see if I will become an ignorant misfit
then to be a target;
hit by a bullet they call “justice”
all in the name of God and
the home of the brave and bloodless.
But America is the land of fallen angels;
angels who fell from grace since the beginning of ages.
To build a land from Native American blood and lost limbs
and then crucifying blacks,
hoping our blood wages their sins.
Making the American people believe
that “this is not what it seems”.
And persuading us, black people, saying,
“This…this is just the American Dream...nikka…”
