All those restaurants are trash and can go except IHOP :lupe:

I like going there getting some chocolate chip pancakes and a cup of tea :wow:

Philly food memories

Checkers fries from 58th & Baltimore are forever GOATed :wow:

The Pizza Hut at Penrose Plaza had the meanest stuffed crust East of the Mississippi :blessed:

Used to go to the Gallery to get Azzure jeans and then get a pepperoni slice from Sbarro :whew:

Ruby Tuesdays by the airport had the baddest waitresses in the city. Bagged one while on a date :banderas:

The kookaburra wings at Outback on Baltimore Pike is a hood classic :manny:

There should be more small businesses in the Restaurant sector that adds more competition to these Monopolies/Franchises so they can't have this enormous power and influence on consumers and workers
Those franchises are dead breh. Their power and influence was 20 years ago. Family owned restaurants big and small are struggling too. Even the sexy popular IG photogenic spots/steakhouses are in for a fight in 2025.

Pizza Hut & Ihop aren't going anywhere there'd be a lot more shyt gone than that list before they go

Your little commercial still regional chains like Shake Shack, Boston Market or places stuck in malls like Sbarro possibly go. But they've been trending that way. Same with Red Lobster

Chuck E Cheese probably shouldn't even be around today but still is, how they lasted longer than the McDonalds/Burger King play palaces is wild. Kids ain't trying to talk to each other anywhere except on Fortnite & Roblox and shytty pizza can't fix it so idk if they've got too much longer in them
I have a 7 and 9 year old. This isn’t remotely true. They love going to Chuck E Cheese or a Dave and Busters type spot with friends.

Didn't a bruh just take over as the CEO of Red Lobster and he decided to bush all you can eat shrimp while bringing back hush puppiess. Either way, chain restaurants have been going through it for a minute. They're essentially big ass takeout spots now and unless the state allows to-go orders, alcohol sales have probably dropped. I remember wasting the little money I had at Fridays and Applebees in college because it was always someone there and the happy hour deals were clutch. That was also 15 years ago and the options have increased immensely over that time period, even for fairly broke students.

I remembered back in the early days, TGI Fridays with the seasoned fries and $5 boneless wings was clutch.

I remember way back in the day I went to Boston Chicken, before they changed the name to Boston Market and I thought the food was pretty dang good. I probably haven't eaten there in 20 years tho. I just don't see them around.

As far as Checkers goes, I don't know anything about Checkers. I remember visiting family in Florida in the mid 1990s and we got it for dinner once after a long day of playing baseball and softball. It hit the spot at the time. I think it came up in conversation in the mid 2000s with a friend from Miami and he told me Checkers is trash. So :manny:

I've never been to an Outback Steak House. But every time I see one, I somehow get reminded of The Sizzler...which in the 80s was pretty solid.
We used to get Boston Market when my mom didn't have time to cook, it was pretty good when you added some seasoning.

I've been wanting something like them now that I'm an adult and want some filling home cooking without cooking it myself.
