$15.00 an hour isn't a lot of money.

Man, I dunno. At $15/hr is cool if you dont have any children and not much debt. You may survive of that depending on where you live. It wont get you far in NYC or SF though. In NC\SC you may be able to live okay though. in Alabama and Missi it'll prolly go alot further though

shyt I still gotta budget making $33 an hour

People making more still gotta budget too. The more you make the more you start spending money on higher up shyt.

I remember reading some financial advice help on reddit where somebody was making six figures and living paycheck to paycheck. Spending like $1000 a month going out to eat and shyt

:rudy: 15 dollars an hour is enough to live off of and still have some $$$ after you've paid your bills (unless you live in LA or NYC)

that's what I was making 10 years ago when i first entered corporate america; I did just fine. better than most actually.

:whoa: I wasn't BALLING though. I was driving a semi-nice paid off car, and I had an apartment.

the problem is everybody wants to live above their means; gotta have the latest clothes, cars, and shoes, rims for the whip, a sound system etc etc..

grow up first and you'll realize 15 dollars an hour is just fine. :coffee:

If you struggling your salary aint cutting it. I'd love to see a budget that works reasonably for a single person making 15 bucks an hour. Even in the south, rent alone is almost two of those checks after taxes insurance etc.

I live in the south, my rent isn't two of those checks. I also live pretty close to downtown, if I moved further out and downgraded I could pay even less.

You could make it off $15 in Houston, you won't throwing money in the air but it could work. Still, under $15 an hour is a red flag.

She's either married getting help, or there's something she's not telling you
She’s not married. She lives in a suburb of St. Louis and her mortgage is like 600 dollars(she has a beautiful home) now granted she is not saving anything but she’s paying her bills and them kids eating good.

Yup I was making 8.50/hr 6 years ago living on my own in a apartment. I did fine. Didn't have much but still had a little money to go out some times and bring girls back to the crib to smash

Edit: rent was like $400/month
