Will be staying at regulated theme parks. I went to Islands of Adventure last November. Was about to ride the tower of doom ride but just stuck to the roller coasters. IIRC, I think the hulk is a harness and a seatbelt. Can't remember.

You suppose to check every person and push down on their locking mechanism YOURSELF. why tf you asking the ri3rs if they did it?

I say this as someone who works riders as a teen. This is bananas and was 100% avoidable. The crew member was fukking lazy.

Also this is designed poorly and should have the seatbelt clip as backip should the locking mechanism fail for any reason.

Yea I'm pretty sure all the rides like this I've been on had a seatbelt that connected between your legs to the shoulder harness. Seems crazy a ride like this wouldn't have that.

Looks like his restraint device wasn't secured. He may have unfastened it. Usually the ride manager comes around and check them before the ride.

Not always. Last time I went to a festival, my joint wasn't secured like it was supposed to be. And when they were about to start the ride up, I stopped them and told the dude, yo come look at this, this ain't right.

White boy acted like he was annoyed that I called him over. But if that ride had went into the air with my stuff loose like it was, I would have legit fell off that thing.

Probably gonna be a pay increase merely due to this event, as they’ll have professional “seat checker” requirements for all these rides.

Took my fam to Hershey Park over the summer.... They got 3 of those rides side by side from shortest to highest.... Kept my ass on the ground and watched all 3 from a distance....

i used to work at an amusement park when i was younger. people use to try to do little goofy shyt and keep their restraints and seatbelts loose because "it's too tight". I used to push the shyt all the fukkin way in on people so shyt like this wouldn't happen. I'm not saying that's what happened here, because obviously things fail, people fail, maintenance fails, but yeah there are riders out there that try to keep their restaint loose like idiots. doing little shyt like leaning forward during the pre-ride check.
