Seems like fight in Saudi is on now if reports are correct and Ruiz might be getting 10 mil instead of 8 or whatever it was before. Probably threw him an extra million or 2 to try and just get the fight on. Apparently will be a press conference with both fighters in September, 3 overall.

So from reports coming out it seems like a legal process was beginning, injunction plus damages, but when it was filed Ruiz backed down and agreed to fight where he was told.

If this is the case all the people saying Ruiz will call the shots and Al Haymon is running things were wrong.

Ruiz would have had to fight AJ in either Saudi or U.K, he may have had some grounds to get out of Saudi but not U.K, so he accepted, ideally he wanted it to be in Mexico or U.S.

The new term deal sounds like posturing but it’s possible he got a lil extra, the reported 10 mil. At the end of the day Matchroom take a huge win on the deal, as there’s some reports they are recieving 100 mil for this, if that’s the case and only have to give Ruiz 10 that is great business.

At least hopefully the fight is now actually on, about time, that’s what should matter, not all that other bullishyt, just fight, best man wins.

I think it's pretty clear this was the case (which some of us said from the start), Ruiz had no legs to stand on in trying to call the shots/demand 50mil to fight in the UK etc. Its pretty sad that the majority of wilder stanleys in this thread ate that dumb logic up too :why:
You try to breach a contract, expect to be sued. Guess what? The case gets filed and Ruiz bytches out :mjlol: a week ago this fat fukk was scared for his life in Saudi, but now its all good?:mjpls:

Yep, all the so called experts on here saying otherwise proved they actually don't know shyt. Can go back and read the threads. "Fight will definitely be in U.S", "Ruiz is the A side and him and Haymon will call the shots" "Ruiz will get 50 mil for the fight" and so much other bullshyt.

Ultimately reports are saying Ruiz is getting 10 mil out of huge money, Ruiz said the fight won't be in Saudi, as soon as it got real for him and Haymon legally they backed down.

Hearn outsmarted Haymon here by far, it was a chess move, Ruiz team didn't want it in U.K so they gave them the neutral Saudi option, so it was basically backing them in a corner because they had to pick 1. Infact they are lucky he was gracious enough to even give them an option, they could have easily said no the fight is in U.K, but if it went the legal route it shows flexibility and an unreasonableness from Ruiz's side if they refused something they didn't even have to be offered. Extortion is illegal when you've already signed a set out contract, Ruiz and Haymon backed down when it got real. Soon as a legal notice was issued they accepted and started promoting the next day, it was always coming to that if they didn't, but Hearn gave them a fair chance and let them dig a deeper hole, even publicly. It was a chess move and he checkmated them.
