A lot of boxing experts and former fighters picking Ruiz in the rematch.

Have been undecided on this one myself, but I would have to lean towards AJ.

I think he is going to pump the jab all night a la Lewis, Klitschko brothers and win a convincing decision. If the KO is there, he will go for it, but he won't actively be looking for it. He has to change his stance and fight tall like Wilder does. AJ has a habit of fighting to his opponent's size. If he can correct that, he can cruise to a UD and catch Ruiz coming in if he gets too sloppy.

If Joshua can keep Ruiz out his space, he should be able to cruise to a UD. :lupe:

I think Ruiz got this shyt though. Dude has good power, but it's his hand speed that is terrifying at his weight. :wow:

Can he dominate the middle of the ring? If he can do that, work the jab fight big, he has a great chance. But there's the question about can he switch things up in adversity?

That was 1 AJ’s big flaws on the first fight, he didn’t utilise his advantages, would be better for him if that changes.

I don't think he was prepared for the fight at all,, doubt they even scouted him much. Gambling for a finish was dumb , he should have allowed it to come natural. I got AJ winning pretty comfortably, I think he will use his jab distance and power. As great as it was for ruiz AJs own arrogance is the reason he lost that fight

Absolutely, I know as a late replacement the sparring wasn’t quality or sufficient in replicating the style of Ruiz.

Yeah I do think AJ not being switched on played a big part, he didn’t seem motivated or interested in some ways. Going recklessly for the finish cost him, sure he should go for it at some point but Ruiz wasn’t ready to go yet. He should have broke him down then stopped him.

he wasnt prepared for ruiz...im sure he was prolly prepared for big baby...i mean shyt happens...it was the perfect storm...he wasn't as active as he usually was and ruiz was pretty active plus hungry...femi is not the first fighter to lose his title(s) to a replacement and he prolly wont be the last...just have to see how he responds to setbacks

TOS vs McCall
Holyfield vs Donald
Rahman vs Meehan
Byrd vs McCline
Ruiz vs Golota

we gotta hope for sensational fades and little to no struggle
