Ruiz ain't getting no 3rd fight :heh:

Ruiz has nothing but a punchers chance against AJ, but with them whiskers, anything's possible.

They're not going to fukk up the long term prospect of a unification bout to keep fukking around with Ruiz.

Hearn is going to have AJ go the mandatory route for minute, until they come across a mandatory where the risk outweighs the reward. Then they'll likely cash out and pursue a unification with Wilder or Fury.

Even with a mandatory AJ has a chance to get sparked out, he can't suffer another embarrassing loss.

:rudy:Yes because it’s not like he was literally fighting for his career. Guy has had half the fight of the ducking champ and has the better resume. He loses one fight and people calling for his retirement, Joshua’s entire career has been raw aggression he has never been this reserved the closest was against Parker. On this occasion no one can blame him as he had a lot to lose and would be an idiot to play to Ruiz strength.

It’s called weight class for a reason, not only that Ruiz has the faster hands so in essence he is bigger (weight) and faster at deploying his hands. The best strategy was the one used, that masochism isn’t going to defy logic this ain’t a Rocky movie. AJ played to his strength which was reach and faster leg speed.
:hhh:we not ever accepting the "point style" chris byrd era OR the vladimir klitschko jab/hold era of heavyweight boxing ever again. heavyweight boxing is a spectacle of gladiator pageantry and if joshua tries to employ this cowardly style of fighting going forward, the right judges will call the fight and make sure the right outcome happens next time:mjlit:

your stars are but dust on my shoes
It'll be interesting to see How Joshua fights going forward. I don't think this is his new style, rather he did what he needed to do to get a W over Andy. I just can't imagine him trying to outbox Fury with so much movement, and I think giving Wilder the space to come forward with his punches would be a huge mistake as well.

On his performance, he did what he had to do, but that doesn't necessarily make it impressive. What was impressive was how much his stamina improved, and showing that he was not mentally fragile after his loss.

Maybe I'm tripping, but what would've made this spectacular is if Joshua would've been able to step on the gas more and break Ruiz down. I understand that Joshua needed this for his confidence, so it's excusable, but it's not the performance that elevates Joshua as top of the division again. As it stands now, Fury Wilder and Joshua are all extremely vulnerable, and the world needs to see them fight to establish a clear king of the heavyweights.

Joshua rights his wrong. I pray that his next opponent is noteworthy and not Ruiz, or some Wallin level guy.

I think it was a very good win, possibly career best performance so I think it was impressive but agree that it doesn't catapult him to the clear nr1 of the division and those 3 (plus Usyk as a wild card) have to squash it out soon to find out who is it.
Then the likes of Dubois, Hrgovic and Ajagba can come and try take the position

Both fury and Wilder beat aj

Look how scared aj fought today, what u think he gonna do vs Wilder. At some point the God that Wilder has in his right hands lands

And we all know fury boxes aj face off easily

Real talk I think an old ass Ortiz has a good chance at knocking aj out
Get the fukk out of here, ur hating hard

Literally any HW with elite skills beats wilder.... We already seen what happens when a REAL elite boxer like Fury challenged wilder... Wilder lost

ORTIZ is an old man with slowed reactions.... AJ would jab the fukk out of wilders face and not be sluggish enuff to get hit with that hand... fukk out of here fam.

AJ the only dude to knockout povetkin, ended klitchko by ko... Only dude that knocked out whyte and ur here telling me ortiz would beat AJ?

:russ::russ::russ:

Wilder is the best thing to ever happen to Ortiz career cos without him we wouldn't know who the fukk this heavy set Cuban is
