I just bought one today at BB for $350 (except I got the one with the built in heat sync). but it was on sale. same price on amazon as well, so I was like fukk it
I was down to like only 100GB remaining on the PS5, and I got the digital edition, so me having to cop the internal ssd upgrade was inevitable.
I also got a 2TB external, so 5 total TB on my PS5.

but what other option is there? the 825GB that PS5 comes with is wack especially since ur reduced to like 660GB that's actually usable since the PS operating system eats up 20% of the hard drive. when I added the 2TB, I got the entire size tho.

only games that can be played from an external drive are last gen games. Any thing made specifically for XSX needs to be installed on the internal or ssd expansion slot.

Those drives can function as cold storage for current games I believe. You need the SSD's speed to play the game for current generation games but last generation and older games are playable from a USB drive.
