Can't take Hook seriously. If he was 4 ft taller and 15 pounds bigger he'd be a problem.
That is the story with almost the whole AEW roster
Can't take Hook seriously. If he was 4 ft taller and 15 pounds bigger he'd be a problem.
Na….. she not a jobber she 22-6 this year (she’s actually won more matches than Riho who only has 17)
Reba is more of a jobber. She won 1 match and lost 7
Leyla is fine and the way it ended with her leaving with an attitude. Possibly that could lead to something
Disco ain't doing shyt but projecting his inner thoughts thinking Anna Jay is too hot for Jungle Boy.
These old fukks who were lucky enough to be around when wrestling caught fire don't have a damn clue how to draw younger people in 2021.
Gonna be 2022 and size queens are still a thing in the wrasslin fandom.
Riho's not been in America for like half of the year.
Riho was the initial AEW champion and she actually beats legit women in the company in spite of looking like a 12 year old girl.
Legit Layla may dominate "Dark" competition, but I don't think I've ever seen her beat a legit woman on the roster.
Neither do AEW or WWE matter of fact.
Their ratings are shyt.
AEW reaches a niche audience of wrestling nerds and WWE is just reaching people who watch due to habit.
Dude, size will always be a thing in wrestling.
In Hollywood, they pick Supermans and Batmans based on whether it's believable that they'll be able kick people's asses, why would wrestling, which is actually simulated violence take whether you could credibly whoop somebody's ass into account.
There's a difference between short and small. Hulk Hogan was over a foot taller than Stallone in Rocky 3, but Sly was jacked and looked like a fighter. Taz was always short, but he looked like he could handle himself in a real fight. She beat Diamanté Dynamite and she’s legit.
I think at this point it’s safe to say the only jobbers in AEW are the unsigned folks…. It used to be that way in the old NWA, WCW, and WWF
And that’s how it should be.

I know the other part wasn’t for me but just chiming in on all fairness.
I think at some point we gotta recalibrate things through the current era. Like I hear that a lot about ratings. But it’s like ratings are down across the board everywhere when people continue to compare them to shyt from 1999. We never gonna see numbers like how it was back then again, so the current scale is the range
As far as Hollywood goes, a lot of guys are short, Tom Cruise and Stallone are 2 examples. There is too much nuance to use that as an example for wrestling… also UFC and Boxing been destroyed that stigma
I’m sorry no one thinks Robert Pattinson is a bad ass that can whoop ass, but people do wanna see Batman

Since you mentioned real boxing; Ray Leonard, Zab Judah, and Floyd Mayweather are all short guys, but they all look like they've seen a weight room before.
John Silver and PAC are also great examples of guys who don't use their lack of height as an excuse to not look like wrestlers.
Not everybody has to look like '92 Ron Simmons, but half the roster doesn't even look like they could arm wrestle a 10th grader.
You just proved my point, Bruh. I said the 10th graders would win.I’d rather have a locker room of the so called 10th graders that actually can put on entertaining matches than a bunch of Heidenriech and Great Khali’s.
No one wants to admit it but only an handful of big guys can actually deliver entertaining matches
And punch, kick, clothesline, body slam, flex, simple suplex get stale a lot quicker than Flippy shyt
If size is really that important than fukk it steroids needs to be brought back and TSC (coli and non coli) gotta stop shaming folks that take them and encourage
Sidebar…… I’ve seen Zab Juda in person before. At the CIAA in a club in Raleigh years ago. Na breh
I’ve also seen Roy Jones jr when he visited A&T, he was way smaller than I expected
Also, one thing I’m gonna credit the E for doing is they make people look bigger than what they actually are.
Like prime example
In this vid some of the shots of Paul and Jey look like the are as big as Roman.
But reality they are closer to the size of a lot of the guys in not only AEW, but Impact, ROH, NXT, indies and majority of their own roster.
Maybe AEW needs to learn how to do the angle’s trick a lot better to fool people like the E got people fooled into believing 95% of the roster is the height and size of Drew
You just proved my point, Bruh. I said the 10th graders would win.
I never mentioned steroids. Not everybody needs to go see Brian Cage's dealer, but they could at least do some curls and push ups. The roster looks like they just tweet and play video games all day.
Roy Jones is another small guy who still had an adult's body.
Gonna be 2022 and size queens are still a thing in the wrasslin fandom.
Here's an old school wrestling trick:
You always want your wrestlers to look bigger than managers and backstage inteviewers, especially on television.
In the old days, wrestlers would stand on risers behind desks, interviewers would crouch next to shorter wrestlers (and the camera would be raised a bit), tight camera shots would be used, etc.
What you showed is an example of that.
It's all in the presentation.
I was too. I know you think I'm arguing with you, but we're just having fun on here, homie. You're cool with me.I just we used the line you used.
We being dramatic, I coached 10th graders in bball and know they are far from that but just having fun with this discussion
