I hate to do the narrative thing but ever since the third fury fight Wilder been different he should’ve just retired then because he’s basically been retired since then. The Helenius fight was supposed to be the swan song (win or lose fighting a sparing trainer trying to break out in his own in a gummies fight that Wilder honestly won by accident)

In hindsight blocking the AJ-Fury fight to force the third fight gained him so much respect that guys don’t get until they lose

Saudi bags sooo big

I was a fan of dude but Fury put that fire out. Respect to him without being too harsh but at the end of the day the man had a little daughter with spina bifida man didn’t make any excuses he went the Olympic route basically a vow of poverty became a bronze medalist took on the mantle of Bronze Bomber became a champion defended 10 times went to war with a Gypsy King three times the first was a draw, the second he lost the world laughed and he demanded to go out in his shield he did and the world gave him respect

Man had American Heavyweight boxing on his back

The man basically was kinda Killmonger but after he went to the otherworld he was more like T’Challa

This was tough I feel like a younger version of Deontay would have taken those shots and came back, but Uso Parker really rocked him here.

Look how effective his jab was back in 2015 when he won his title, and he straight abandoned it :francis:
And this is what frustrates me the most about Wilder. He could have a great weapon his jab. Long reach, could keep opponents away and more importantly set up the right hand.

I remember when George Foreman offered to train Wilder, and I wish he took up on that offer

Foreman is probably the master at simplifying the game plan to achieve a desired result. He would have had Wilder use his physical gifts. All that length and speed Wilder has, and somehow he wants to abandon his jab :dahell:

With those long arms and that right hand I always hoped he would develop into a heavyweight version of Thomas Hearns. Malik Scott is a motivational speaker/cheerleader. Wilder has regressed under his tutelage. I'm not sure what the game plan was against Parker. Wilder wasted a lot of energy running and bouncing around the ring in the first 3 rounds.

If Manny was here and Wilder would have gotten with him his whole career goes in an even better direction then it has.
