It’s one thing to say Canelo is great, which he is, but we’re not about to pretend this wasn’t supposed to happen. No one had Smith being competitive, let alone winning. We can marvel at the skill, but the opponent was a trash pick. Like the majority of his DAZN fights.

Bro his opponent was an undefeated world champion, who won the WBSS Super Middleweight Tournament. He was the man at 168.

And yet nobody expected him to compete let alone win. The poll in here was overwhelmingly in favor of him getting knocked out. I’m not saying he’s a bum or a can because he’s not, but it was a safe pick for an easy W.

Canelo showcased why he was so great, but I can’t pretend like the opponent made the win that much more impressive.

Smith is a great boxer, textbook skills

Canelo is on another level, P4P #1

I said it was a trash pick. I didn’t say he was trash.

The Miami Heat were a trash opponent for the Lakers but they were a good team, for example.

Kinda seems like you're splitting hairs here, but ok.

Fact of the matter is, Callum Smith was the king of the super middleweight division prior to this fight, and a lot of knowledgeable boxing heads in this very thread predicted he would be competitive, and possibly win.

I do agree the DAZN Canelo fights have been lackluster for the most part. Not his fault though, there’s levels to this shyt ... and no one seems to be on his at the moment. I mean who else does he have to face to get credit where it’s due :pachaha:

He’s everything Canelo likes on his dinner plate: tall (so he can tear his body out the frame), no real power (so he can pressure him all night), and slow (so he can just beat the sh*t out of him :mjlol:). I didn’t think it would be a spectacular knockout happening but I definitely thought Canelo would wash him up all night, which he did.

Who should Canelo fight then? Who's not a trash opp?

Canelo already getting the Floyd treatment. *Floyd fights undefeated fighter, whoops them* "Oh, he only ate vegetable lasagna for training camp, is that even a good W"

shyt is embarrassing from grown men.
