Hope y’all keep the same energy like y’all did for Tank if Haney doesn’t get Gamboa outta there within 12 :mjpls:
Depends, if he tries his best but his power is just not enough but he still shuts him out or something I'll have no problem.
If he will coast when he could get him out of there, he gets sloppy or Gamboa makes it a close fight then I will criticize him.

Yeah and Campbell might get snatched by someone else too.
Haney's problem is that while he is quite a big name on social media he still doesn't wort the risk to these dudes to fight him as opposed to a Lopez who holds 4 belts, a Tank who's been around longer and even if not by a landslide but more known or a Garcia who's as close to an "influencer" as a boxer can get and has a huge following.
Haney needs a breakout win somehow against a top 5-10 guy, I can only hope Hearn can provide that to him but his own stablemate Campbell fighting Garcia instead of him isn't promising.

Arum actively trying to drive his fighters away from Haney too. Loma with the franchise application then Lopez mentioning him post fight but Arum saying he'd rather not do it because he likes the Garcia fight more...
They see he's a threat.
He is still very young though, he just needs to stay active, be patient, his time will come. He has a considerable social media pull himself so he won't be denied forever. With that said he needs to leave to PBC or Top Rank if Hearn can't provide him quality opposition.

And please for God's sake nobody try to come with Fortuna you don't even think seriously that he'd duck Fortuna. He beats Fortuna any day imo just based off the eye test. Also he was in position to challenge Loma, too bad that in 2020 that doesn't mean shyt.

He holds a belt. If you're making this a Hearn/Haney issue instead of a Arum/Teo issue, you're hustling backwards. A real unification fight should be next up.

Gamboa isnt a scrub but he's past it. I think the energy for Tank was that he started to slightly fade late vs a one legged opponent. You right tho, Haney better get em outta there

What hustling backwards mean (I don’t know)?

I said pretty clear Arum doesn’t want to do business with him but regardless Hearn is his promoter, his job is to get hin the next best fight... Campbell is Hearn’s fighter, so is Haney. Garcia, a Golden Boy prospect/ylung contender is fighting Campbell instead of Haney, that’s what I meant. And also that it might not be Hearn’s fault that other don’t do business with him and Haney if it’s not a must but if he just can’t get any big name opportunities for him, then Haney needs to move somewhere where he can for the sake of his career.

He holds a belt but sadly he couldn’t earn it in the ring and couldn’t prove himself yet against a top 10 guy. He could have fought Loma, he was in position but then the franchise shyt came. Win or lose that could have been his step up fight.

I like Haney a lot and see him as possibly the best out of these young dudes at 130-135. Him and Shakur, really. Seems like Arum shares my opinion at least in regards of the level of threat he poses. We will see if we were right or not but I want to see it soon cause all these other dudes except Stevenson (who will soon get a step up fight at 130 too) are getting these opportunities.

Gamboa is a year older and coming off some kind of injury....i expect him to get him out of there sooner than Tank
It seems like Haney takes his craft more seriously than Tank so I don't expect him to be sloppy or fatigued but that's bare bottom expectations for a prospect at his stage. that's why tank got rightfully roasted

bad performance aside...i was not with tank vs gamboa from jump

1. no one asked for tank vs gamboa
2. crawford vs gamboa - ppl talked down on that fight for crawford's resume and gamboa was undefeated and had established himself in that division beforehand, then all of a sudden tank vs gamboa 5 years later is a good fight...nope we're not doing that
3. gamboa has not beaten any worth a damn in a while and a lot of those wins had a lot of struggle in them

4., tank had far better fights on the table. nikkas were getting at tevin farmer for the tank fight falling through and then he lost his belt to jojo diaz..gamboa was not a better replacement - ppl were not keeping the same energy for tank so that had to be called out

It's sort of like the phrase "taking one step forward, two steps back."

An example would be like if I graduate college and secured a job at a firm, but I end up selling drugs instead. Everyone would be like "he got the degree, he got the job, why's he selling drugs? He's hustling backwards.:what:"

i def saw some ppl saying gamboa was washed before the tank fight. How that was spun as some huge coming out superstar moment when a)gamboa was washed b)tank didn't even look good is amazing to me and credit to Mayweather for hyping his fighter i guess but whatever
to lesser extent same thing is happening with the lsc win. lsc is at better stage than gamboa was but to me tank did what he was supposed to do.
not quite in the wilder realm but so far tank performances are getting a lil overhyped given the context
mayweather acting like he going get a light touch next which is fine i guess but i wanna see him in a fight ppl think might be even remotely tough for him soon
