At Inoue’s press conference this week, he actually name dropped Gary Russel as someone he wants to face, when asked who else he wants outside of Casimero and Donaire. He name dropped Warren and Gary Russel. He also says he’s moving up after unifying.

Warren though...
not a bad fighter but Inoue beat some better fighters than him already...Put it this way... even though styles make fights, Warren lost to Oubaali who was wiped out by Donaire in 4 rounds. Also went back and forth with Payano who Inoue knocked out like it's nothing. So, don't know what would be the point of Inoue fighting him.

I think he knows there’s no one else for him to beat after Donaire and Casimero, so he’s just naming the highest ranked guys after.
He also mentioned moving up to the next weight class which segways back to this thread…I wonder if Fulton or Fig would stack back if they knew they had a chance at getting a big fight like Monster.

I’m low key not the happiest at how Showtime is promoting this. They need to put more effort into the non PPV fights like this that are still big. What is stopping them from uploading the 5 minute segment they will show before the fight on youtube anyway?
I’m not asking for a full all access….give us the 5 minute clip of them training and prepping that you’re going to show 30 seconds before the fight anyway!
I don’t get it, it’s like they’re missing out on building the careers of anyone that’s non PPV. The only thing this will do is enhance the profile of both fighters for future fights, and create more buzz. What’s there to lose by uploading it before the fight? And what’s the point of waiting for the broadcast to show it…boggles my mind.
What’s funny is that they show it before the actual fight during the broadcast, but the people that are already locked in to watch will see it, and we already know about Fulton and Fig.
All they need to do is upload it a few days before the fight, is that really that hard? They should be rushing to upload it. It literally already exists, what a waste!
Makes ZERO sense to save it for the broadcast, ZERO.
This has nothing to so with budget, read this clearly, the promo video clip ALREADY exists and will be aired before the fight during the broadcast. This is pure incompetence, and nothing else. They are actually wasting their money by NOT uploading it to their youtube which has 1.24 M subscribers.
Lazy marketing team that is doing the bare minimum.

Your career field is marketing I’m guessing?
Thats why I think top rank better for building a fighter up..they shoved Mike Conlan down our throats from the jump…Gave Berlanga that KO streak and exposure and now give us white Ali with Conlan and Berlanga marginal at best right now and White Ali not even on the level of Jake Paul. But they atleast trying. They don’t try as hard with black fighters tho or even a guy like Teo.
