Kobe deserves it and he should get no less. He is a loyal player and has helped bring 5 championships to an A-list organization.

If you've been at your job for as many years, have out-performed the other employees there, have won achievement awards etc...and all of a sudden, your job suggests to you that in order for the company to be more successful (aka the corporate CEO's, Founder, President, VP etc. to make more money), you should consider a big pay cut so that they can make way to bring in another good employee from a different company...you're telling me you'd be okay with going from let's say $100K a year down to $60K?!

If you tell me you'd be okay with that and not look for another job where you can do what you love still and make the same money, then I'll be shocked.

If you want to win YES. It's your legacy on the line at the end of the day, and people are gonna define that legacy in this case by WINNING.

Bron took a slight pay cut in Miami and has been the foundation for the best team in the NBA for the last 3 seasons.

You have to give up something to get something.

but Kobe only thinks of himself which is why Dwight bounced :heh:

Kobe had to choose between gunning for Jabbar's scoring record and ring number 6. He chose the record. I don't see the problem with this.

True. Which explains why they're defending this contract.
Both are not real fans @cantstopsuckingcock is a Canadian that only sees Kobe play when they play the raptors and could care less about the actual lakers and @houston411 loves his city so much his puts in his name yet roots for none of his home teams and only cares about Kobe stats regardless of team

So no point in telling how bad the lakers fukk up with this move cuz they truly don't care about the team

when Kobe scores 30 and the lakers lose there happy seriously I'm not even joking

lebron did the same thing though

lebron didn't take a paycut because he's a nice guy. he took a paycut because he knew he wouldn't win a championship if he didnt. if he didn't win a championship he wouldn't have gotten the respect that he deserves (which is stupid because he's one of the best ever regardless, but it is what it is)

blame the lakers

Kobe only thinks of himself, but Dwight doesn't?! That's why Dwight got his Orlando coach fired, why he kept the fans in limbo for months before making a decision to go to LA, why he kept LA fans waiting for months before making the decision to go to Houston. Dwight is a selfish player. He wants a ring, but doesn't want to put in the work and wait for one. Kobe has paid his dues. He didn't win the rings alone, but he doesn't just want to win, he plays his ass off to win.

You think LeBron isn't selfish? Why do you think he went to Miami? To get a ring....or two...or three...or four...cause he wasn't going to get one with Cleveland and the ring was more important to him than getting money. You think he left for Miami cause he cares about the organization and wants to see them do well and or because he thinks Wade is such a great guy, so he wanted to help him get a ring? Let's not mention the way he left...tacky.

Everyone is self motivated....let's not pretend that LeBron didn't make the best move for HIMSELF.

That makes no sense if he was only thinking about himself he wouldn't have went to Miami in the first place . He knows be has to share glory with Wade and Bosh. Stop acting like those two situations are comparable cause they're not. And we all know Bron would be ringless if he were still in Cleveland and would be getting the same disrespect from 2009-2011 .. FOH with that "he would get the respect he deserves..."
