that was true until the USA TV deal. NXT is now very profitable.

financials haven't even been released this quarter so that's not true either. although no doubt the USA money will hopefully help cover the millions they usually lose, but "very profitable"? highly doubtful.

don't get mad

NXT is the minor league roster of WWE no matter how hard some fans try and spin it. NXT actually LOSES money for WWE on a yearly basis. they lose MILLIONS of dollars (check the public financials)

again, until NXT travels on a weekly basis and until their talent makes "real" money, they are NOT the "main roster". that's the reality of the situation. that doesn't mean they suck or anything like that. it just means they are not the main roster.
:what: this sounds more like "my qualifications on what a main roster is" than what actually is a main roster.

Taker has such an aura about him you hang on every word, no matter how drawn out the story is.

not at all. it's called financials, statistics, and brand recognition/value. the whole purpose of NXT is to get to the main roster.

Raw and Smackdown garner 2.5-3.5 million viewers every week on TV

NXT garners 500,000-900,000 viewers each week on TV

Raw and Smackdown wrestlers earn an average of $500,000 per year

NXT wrestlers earn an average of $60,000 per year

Raw and Smackdown travel the world every week in arenas

NXT films in a tiny studio every week

Raw and Smackdown are brands that are recognized world wide by the mainstream audience

NXT is recognized by the diehard wrestling fan base

it's quite simple actually.
