Please don't pretend like Wilder was or has ever been some kind of skilled boxer ever in his career. He was getting outboxed handily today. When was the last time Deontay WIlder has ever been the most skilled of the two boxers in the ring? There is nothing about how he fights that is methodical, his footwork is not good, he throws a lot of looping punches, it goes on and on. He's got his right hand as an equalizer, it is what it is, but a good boxer, he is not. A man that has fought all before him so I can't knock him for that but in many of his fights, what are we left with? It's never, he put together a boxing virtuoso. It is always about the right hand that came out of nowhere, no more, no less.

:umad:LMAO @ OUTBOXED HANDILY.
BOTH DUDES WERE LANDING 4-5 PUNCHES PER RD.

THEY BOTH WERE RESPECTFUL OF THE OTHER
UNTIL WILDER FINALLY LANDED THE NUKE.

:sas1:those cuban fighters can score you some points, but if you wanna be a mean azz muthafukka in pro boxing, you gotta cut your teeth, get your education, muscle memory and make your rounds in america(s) at the mayweather gyms, the kronk gyms, the wildcard gyms, up there at big bear at abel sanchez's gym and so on. you cant get that kind of education in cuba or europe, which is precisely why andy ruiz is gonna whoop the cowboy shyt out of anthony joshua - again, in the rematch.

Cassamayor is the only Cuban pro boxer that would match your description.

I really think that's what happened. He had a lapse in focus and judgement.
It wasn't like Ortiz was landing big shots consistently, his only gameplan was to survive a ugly match...y'all giving Ortiz too much credit...oh he won 5 rounds dominating cause he landed one more punch a round ass nikkas

It's not about ONLY landing punches it's about effectively controlling the shots and the direction of the fight. The judges disagree with you and agree with me

Usyk would get knocked unconscious..early too considering how he likes to keep his hands moving.

Could happen, Wilder could knock anybody out if he lands, my guess would be it would be harder than that, I think Usyk would outbox Wilder early then maybe get caught at some point. Usyk is a lot better than Ortiz, way better feet, he may be able to come up with a gameplan to avoid the shots. I don’t think it’s a foregone conclusion but of course if Wilder lands would hurt him badly.

:camby:just stop it. usyk is a glorified cruiserweight who will get sent through the ropes like bernard hopkins when wilder connects with that cannon:umad:

Will never know till it happens, so far the only decent name on Wilder’s resume is a much older Ortiz. Should have an L already on record with the loss to Fury too.

I mean aj will be tougher since he younger and quicker than ortiz BUT that Cuba school of boxing dominated the amateurs for a long time. Oddly they flop in the pros

No stupid...

He did a great job of circling right all night. Circling right allowed him to get a better view of the right hand which is why Wilder couldn't land it.

The one time he decided to go left, he walked right into it.
