It's already at 7 pages. In comparison to little g's last fight that had like 30 posts the morning of the fight.........Canelo fights are always gonna do numbers regardless.

At least kovalev got name recognition with casuals, how many pages did Canelo vs. Rocky Fielding have at this point
Maybe better comparison would be Spence vs. Porter hype which I feel like was more than this fight fwiw

. its DAZN's biggest black eye of the year and this is a service that's airing some horseshyt next week of pro debuts of 2 fukking YouTubers scrapping. That fight has more buzz than that Canelo fight and this one

You right GGG vs Dervy was FOTY caliber but wasn't nobody hype for that I don't think. Just seemed like a weird measuring stick and one that ANY Canelo fight should have more promotion/hype than if we being honest

Spence porter apparently had around 300k ppv buys. This fight would break 800k easy on ppv. Canelo is just a star. His name alone is gonna sell fights. Like you said....if canelo-jacobs could get over 1.3 millions streams, this shyt should be well over 1.5. What more do u want them to do if golden boy doing what’s best for canelo is what got canelo upset.

Canelo vs Jacobs wasn't a particularly bad fight, it just wasn't that good either but then so what, sometimes styles mash-up in that way, I'm still curious about the result. No point in making it out to be like it would have been a Wlad vs Povetkin level bore-fest.

The former world champion, Erik 'El Terrible' Morales, said that Saúl 'Canelo' Álvarez has the ability to be crowned champion in four different weight divisions, but questioned the manner in which he's made his career and the opponents that he faced.
Morales is reacting to the recent discussion that Canelo is one of the greatest Mexican fighters of all-time.

Morales set his example with Canelo's next fight, against WBO light heavyweight champion Sergey Kovalev, an opponent he recognizes as a great world champion, but he feels the Russian fighter is already in the final stretch of his career.
“[Canelo] has fought with big names when they are at the end of their career. Shane Mosley was at the end of his career, Miguel Cotto was at the end of his career, Kovalev is at the end of his career... with [ Gennadiy] Golovkin, he is already [far along in years] and [Canelo] has been waiting for him to deteriorate. This is something that people see," Morales told ESPN Deportes.
“People are always waiting for something from him and it seems that Canelo's fights, throughout his career, are not taken into account at 100 percent. People and I had hoped that the fight against GGG would have taken place and instead they choose a opponent who for many is already old, he is already old and won't present real competition. Yes [Kovalev] is bigger, yes he is stronger and the people of Mexico don't know Kovalev. I can say that he is bigger, stronger and that he is world champion and has attributes. But Kovalev is already very damaged."
The former champion in four different weight categories said that he focused on the idea of fighting against the best boxers at his weight and set aside the economic issues.
“I fought with the 1 or 2 in the world and I also understand that this is a business. Now it is administration that make a career and if that was the case for me then it would have made my career different. At the end of your career you have to ask yourself, how do you want to be remembered? And the questions and criticisms of Canelo have been constant and it is because of the types of opponents he chooses. With myself and some others we chose the best, I chose the best of each division," Morales said.
