The point of contention, or at least confusion, was the manner in which his guard and body position changed so dramatically from anything he'd shown in the lead up to that punch.

I'm not sure either way tbh, at the time it happened though i was quite surprised by how low he dropped his hands following the left hook, it was abnormally different to anything he'd displayed biomechanically throughout the fight to that point, irrespective of how good/damaging the left hook may have been.

The two arguably best out of those 2 divisons, Tanaka and Shiro have power too although they have a more boxing oriented style than the ones mentioned above.

nobody is disputing whatever the punch landed or if he hit Kovalev or dropped him for real

Kovalev lost the fight on purpose, he was not trying to hurt canelo the entire fight and he gave up his chin

He took harder shots against Yarde to be honest, that's why he was all smiles afterwards, his promoter, and mcgirt, the threw the fight plain and simple

this at the 1920's where guys flopping like wrestlers you think if all the video evidence people will try to do a phantom punch to throw the fight, he took the punch

I saw Kovalev land a real jab on Canelo in the 9th and it shook him up instantly, he was not trying to win that fight, he could've hurt him in the first round with the jab, he fought like the smaller man, the already announced canelo as the 4 time champion before the fight even started lmao, the fix was in

Trout, Badou Jack, Berto, Andrade, Eubanks, they all seen it, they not all lying or hating

Boxingego picked Canelo to win and he even making videos saying it was fixed, because how it went down

it was an obvious job, I didn't think so at first I thought Kovalev was just washed, but after rewatching, he clearly tried not to hurt Canelo and he gave up his chin, he turned right into the line of fire, Canelo even hesitated a little before he threw the right hand it was so obvious Kovalev allowed himself to get hit

Kovalav could have easily got Canelo out of there. He didn't throw one hard pnch, he was carrying Canelo the whole time.
