I think the only people on the current who can pull off true white meat babyface are Bayley, Sami Zayn, and Naomi. And like you said, it's largely we know that's who they really are. Bayley really is just a fukking dork who loves wrestling. Sami Zayn does charity work for Syrian refugees. Naomi is the sweetest, most genuine woman on the roster. That shines through to the point you just didn't want to boo them during their respective pushes.

We know too much about Ronda for her to be trying this character. They got away with it initially because she was a big, hyped up celebrity. Now that she's just a wrestler on the roster, they gotta go in a different direction.

You gotta be a fool not to see her getting booed last night. Fans went gonna be pro Romda just because the person they came to see got injured. And all that "shes from California" shot dont matter when you are working against a top draw. Fans cheered Rocky over Benoit in Canada..over Angle in Pittsburgh..cheered him over Cena in Boston. Bryan got cheered over Blandy in St Louis...outpopped Edge in Toronto...etc.

Yiu can just look at twitter and realize how insanely over BECKY is at this moment. It's much bigger than the crowd cheering for Charlotte last night..which bookers are gonna realize soon enough.
