Bret was the last guy to pull that off but that was also the last time people wanted that. People do not want that anymore. You can’t put that genie back in the bottle and they’ve been trying to do that for way too long. Eventually you gotta face facts. The corny baby face shyt doesn’t work. Honda comes out there smiling and kissing babies and shyt and people know that’s not who she really is. Also she wasted two weeks on the mic calling Becky the millennial man. Really? I’m supposed to cheer that? No thank you. That shyt is trash.

The reason the Bryan turn worked and the Becky one didn’t, is because AJ is a good face. He’s not white meat. He had an edge to him. Not a serious edge but enough of an edge.

I think the only people on the current who can pull off true white meat babyface are Bayley, Sami Zayn, and Naomi. And like you said, it's largely we know that's who they really are. Bayley really is just a fukking dork who loves wrestling. Sami Zayn does charity work for Syrian refugees. Naomi is the sweetest, most genuine woman on the roster. That shines through to the point you just didn't want to boo them during their respective pushes.

We know too much about Ronda for her to be trying this character. They got away with it initially because she was a big, hyped up celebrity. Now that she's just a wrestler on the roster, they gotta go in a different direction.
