Another good TakeOver show. First match did a good job of solidifying Lars Sullivan's monster status. This big mofo can just hit five clotheslines, a powerslam and a powerbomb every match and I'm :popcorn3: because sometimes you just need a guy who does nothing more than that.

Said it yesterday but Black/Dream was a perfect feud. Easily to understand motivations, strong contrast of characters and a great build where both looked strong heading into the match. The match itself delivered with good storytelling and some great wrestling all around and both competitors came out looking even stronger. Patrick Clark's full embrace of the character has done wonders for him.

The women's match was good, mostly due to the fast pace. I thought it was weird to see Nikki Cross barely being a part of it though, she barely had any offense outside of some generic strikes and took most of the hits. You could tell the crowd was ready for Royce to take the belt and honestly I agree they made a mistake putting it on Ember Moon. She's a good worker no doubt but this seemed like making up for the fact she got injured during Asuka's reign around the time it seemed they were going to push her, and then she never got her chance again because they went all in on Asuka's reign. Under appreciated aspect about Kairi Sane btw, her selling. Every bit of offense she took, she sold the hell out of it. Very underrated skill in wrestling.

McIntire vs Almas was good even though McIntire is just too boring for me to care about him at all. I'll admit that Almas has come a long way since his first steps in NXT when he was flopping hard, pairing him with Zelina Vega did wonders for him.

War Games was really just a fukkery spot fest and I guess it worked for that purpose as the match itself was garbage on most levels. Besides the awful camera work the one thing that stood out were the refs (Orange Drake Younger in particular) blatantly directing traffic. You have a match with nine people in it and somehow you still manage to have so many dead moments that you can blatantly see the ref telling everyone what everyone's status is and what the next spot is supposed to be. Just fukking horrid direction. The match also showed exactly how forgettable and useless a lot of these ROH guys are, once the other teams entered the match Kyle O'Reilly, Bobby Fish and Roderick Strong were instantly reduced to non-players. In fact, if it weren't for the fact that they're obviously set on pushing Adam Cole, he would've been a complete waste as well. For what little it was worth, AOP and Sanity carried the match on their backs completely.

Why do you say this? The fans cheered him over Black and WWE has been looking for a Goldust replacement for years. I could easily see him being a bigger star on the main roster than NXT.
They might as well debut him with a rub from Goldust. The star that Goldust has always been looking for.:wow:

Good analysis, agreed on pretty much every point.

I wasnt as sold on the dream/black MATCH as most, but the FEUD and storytelling was great.

Aleister/Dream was my personal WWE MOTY, everything was fun/enjoyable, the feud, the characters, the great battle...phenomenal

This was my favorite Takeover so far, even better than Brooklyn, R Evolution, Brooklyn 3...

Y'all are right but it's only because the old regime is out of thouch and probably will sabatogue the gimmick by debuting it in iowa or Corpus Christi.

Patrick might be better off having an extended NXT run because the upper brass won't go all the way with the gimmick and he has a better chance if and when HHH gets more power.

I don't think it's about old regime or new regime. I don't think he'll be able to connect with the crowd on the main stage. It doesn't really matter where he debuts. He'll be coming out to crickets in places like Iowa, Alabama and Arkansas. The smark crowds will eat it up, but the common wrestling fan won't. The Adrian Adonis gimmick doesn't work anymore.

I wasnt as sold on the dream/black MATCH as most, but the FEUD and storytelling was great.
I'm a nut for storytelling in wrestling matches and this feud was built on a simple but super effective story. The ending was obvious for me from the start of the feud (Black wins the match but Dream wins his respect so they both "win") but ideally both competitors should come out of a feud looking stronger than they did going in.

Mcintyre definitely tore a muscle or worse in his left arm during the final spot. Torn bicep or tricep is like the most obvious steroid injury other than torn quad
It seems he actually hurt his groin too with the big boot over the top rope right before the DDT since he let out a (censored but still noticeable) 'Ah fukk!'. Dude looked like he fukked himself up all the way in the last 10 seconds.

Yeah, he started to fall apart. The groin thing was what i initially thought until i rewatched today. Its probably both. His arm is definitely jacked up.

Him and wade barrett are fukkin cursed.
