Yeah, it stops at NXT. That will not be over on the main shows or get any real push. He'd be Rico status.

Y'all are right but it's only because the old regime is out of thouch and probably will sabatogue the gimmick by debuting it in iowa or Corpus Christi.

Patrick might be better off having an extended NXT run because the upper brass won't go all the way with the gimmick and he has a better chance if and when HHH gets more power.

He's also super young. 22 years old! Give him another year down there, and he'll be better for it.

Iconic Duo looked like a couple when they came out. Ember Moon desperately had to win the title if they ever wanted to establish her as a top woman or else she was just some girl that wrestles with red contacts. Peyton is a heel in an over duo with a ton of chemistry and never has to win it in NXT, Kairi Sane has indy clout to carry her and Nikki Cross has the fans respect as a tough as nails bat shyt character. So, I agree that they haven't done much character work with Ember, especially when they had her cut that crybaby promo after losing to Asuka that was bad and a big mistake for a character who is of the mold of a warrior/ ass kicker. She just needed a run in NXT more than the other girls.

I like Lars Sullivan he and Ohno had a fine match. Ohno was throwing those forearms and I liked Ohno armwrench stomp spot only issue I really have with Lars is his finish is wack. It isn't even good enough to be a transitional move imo but maybe he's doing it because it's safer for a green big man to pull off but yeah I like him.

Patrick and Black had match of the night. I was surprised to see how over Clark was. His presence, bumping, and the way he moves is unique. I'm all in on this Velveteen gimmick dude is a great performer. I appreciate the story they told at the end but I and many other fans wouldn't have minded an audible. I don't know what Clark calls that limp wrist DDT but that was a great variation. I suppose now Black will move into the main event scene?

:salute:Clark's Rick Rude inspired tights.

The NXT championship was :ld: I feel meh about Galloway, I've always felt he was a okay at everything. It feels weird to say a guy who looks the way he does doesn't stand out but I feel like he's Sheamus tier where he's competent at everything and has a look but I don't really care if they hold the belt I'm still whatever about them. Match was okay but the ending wasn't good, they missed their perfect ending. It should've ended after his manager did the hurricarana whip to the mat and he did his signature ddt the fans were ready to buy that and that is my problem with matches that do to many near falls just to seem like a great match when it finally ends it feels hollow. I'm curious to see where Almas goes as champ I thought this match was just a holdover until Galloway faced Adam Cole but here we are.

Alright, I've watched the entire show. As a whole, it was pretty entertaining but there's a huge glaring problem to me. Besides maybe Almas, I can't see anyone from NXT making a huge splash on the main roster within the next six months. All of these gimmicks & characters seem bush league to me. NXT is trying way too hard to cater to the Indy's rather than building for the WWE main roster.

I think the developmental thread might drop this week since I'll have some free time :ehh:

Everyone is giving nxt credit but no one giving nxt credit for the right reasons.

People keep saying they don't see the hype behind Cole after one event. Like I don't see the hype either right now but I'm not gonna trash him say its all hype after one match because one the match was successful and too its making the coli look bad saying all this shyt about guys who just got there then praising guys like Almas and velvet dream becoming stars.

Like we all clowned velveteen dream first coming out. Nobody gave a fukk about Almas a year ago.

And that's the credit I want to give to hhh/nxt they are actually making you care about guys you never thought you would. And just knowing these guys histories of coming from nothing to something is one of the best parts about being a wrestling fan.

I don't get your point about Drew. Seems like a lot of people are not high on him.
Roman>Drew.

Cause it's just made up. Not a single person as praised Drew like he's some Indy darling. I think most people have given him props for grinding his way back into the WWE. But for people that paid attention to Drew when he left the WWE the first time around, he wasn't all that. His best asset is looking the part. He's basically a lesser version of Sheamus.

When Nigel McGuinness used "sports entertainer" last night referring to McIntyre/Galloway:hhh:

I don't know why it rubbed me wrong, they've been trying to make that label stick for years but It annoyed me for some reason last night.

There was people saying he was "killing it on the indies". I learned not to trust this phrase shyt is code for "I've heard good things about this wrestler post WWE that I myself haven't watched". I'd definitely rather be a divisive figure like Roman than get a meh reception like the other guys who "Looked" the part and got the belt guys like Del Rio, Jindar, Sheamus all got there because the company favored them for their looks and we fans knew this but they didn't get the passion from the fans that Reigns gets. I feel that they could turn it around if they wanted to but they're content with taking shortcuts.

That's the wrong approach to take though. They should be developing these guys to be successful on the main roster, not just carry over their Indy status and hope for the best. I think you're right about Adam Cole having success like Kevin Owens/Sami Zayn on the main roster. I could see Almas sliding into the Alberto Del Rio role that Vince keeps trying to fill. I could see Johnny Gargano having success on the main roster too. But the other guys have no appeal whatsoever & will be doomed for failure like Tyler Breeze, Tye Dillingers, Ascension and Apollo Crews.

Besides Breeze the others had no gimmick or a proper character.

I can't speak on Ascension's NXT run but it's WWE's fault that they flopped on the main roster. I mean they got repackaged as a LOD knock off while lacking the size and Raw commentary went out of their way to shyt on them for it. I feel like fans liked the idea of Breeze and Dillinger more than they actually liked them with those guys fans saw hard working guys who'd both been with the company for a long time who found their niche and deserved better than their jobber to the stars roles. With Breeze it felt like anytime a new indy guy showed up he was pushed further back in line and with Dillinger he'd been there long enough to wrestle in WWECW, FCW, and NXT and was appart of floundering tag teams until he found a somewhat entertaining character who was obviously only made to be a jobber so people rooted for him, that's why Almas and Crews had bad debuts they faced an over jobber. Crews should still be in NXT I'm not sure why he got called up but he didn't do much in NXT and he dropped a cringe promo where he was supposed to be intimidating but couldn't stop cheesing. It's no surprise those guys flopped except The Ascension but that's because it wasn't fan disinterest it was that they viciously went after those guys and tore them apart themselves.
