Day 9 (actual)
Don't those use the gyroscope to track movement, meaning you have to move your arms? Without GPS to track actual movement across distance some of those devices just wait for your arm to swing back and forth like a pendulum. I think you'd need a foot pod (device that straps to your show, to track the movement of your feet or a pedometer.I have an Apple Watch thats relatively accurate.
No you can march in place and it will count your steps, and you don't even have to hold your phone in your hand, you can have it in your pocket.Don't those use the gyroscope to track movement, meaning you have to move your arms? Watches should get the job done and do a rough estimate but if your holding a Stanley in your watch arm or walking with your arms on your head, folded or while holding a phone stationary they may miss steps so 10k might be 7600 (which is still good)
I know polar, wahoo and stryd and of course they measure speed and cadence and such. They also connect to devices we already own like watches or phones.
I was talking more about the watches. The phone thing works the same but since it's in your pocket it always gets the movement. No you can march in place and it will count your steps, and you don't even have to hold your phone in your hand, you can have it in your pocket.
