Forgot about Juan soto. He's in the free agent class as well.
Hes in the 24-25 free agent class. I'm saying the 2023-24 free agent class. Its like Ohtani and the next best hitter is like Matt Chapman I think lol.
Soto could still be a possibility since a lot of money will be off the books and a lot more options will be available then (pitching prospects ready to contribute, prospects in general as trade chips with a healthier farm system.)

I'd like to see Khalil Lee and Ronny Mauricio make the team.
I don't know if Nick Plummer is still on the team, but if he is, I'd like to see him come off the bench.

Khalil Lee would have to go insane in ST and be cleared of anything in that MLB investigation to even be looked at.
I don't see the Mets giving Ronny a real shot cuz he didn't show anything in the minors to indicate that he'd be ready (OBP under .300 in AA
). Them not having him play a position other than SS is curious and makes me feel like they don't imagine him on the team unless he shows them something.

The only young dude I feel like has a shot to get on the MLB roster is Vientos. He's at least had a good amount of experience in AAA. Gotta watch that strikeout rate. He can easily take Ruf's spot.
