watchmen a very very underrated moviefor me it never was but I know I’m in the weak minority... @ the time I still thought ‘batman begins’ was a better movie overall and ‘watchmen’ surpassed both when it dropped imo...‘watchmen’ still stands the test of time for me...I try to watch it once a year to see if I still feel the same way
its still an incredible movieLet’s not do this lol
Please. If not for Heath's crazy performance the dark knight would be wack.
Logan was trash. How many wolverine adventures until you get tired of this guy? Except for the last few movies, all the X-Men movies were basically wolverine's movies.
But to say it’s not a comic book movie is like saying year one isn’t a comic book. The only thing that designates something as a comic book movie is if it’s based on a comic book character. Comics by their nature can tell all sorts of stories in all sorts of styles. Batman comics are often noir crime books. Dark knight is that as a movie. So I don’t get how it’s not a comic book movieits still an incredible movie

What exactly is good about that movie? Another movie with wolverine kicking ass with a straight forth story.TheColi.com brehs
Did you see Watchmen the Director's cut or the Ultimate Cut? If not, I highly recommend both.for me it never was but I know I’m in the weak minority... @ the time I still thought ‘batman begins’ was a better movie overall and ‘watchmen’ surpassed both when it dropped imo...‘watchmen’ still stands the test of time for me...I try to watch it once a year to see if I still feel the same way
Yeah but... that was like fukking 1/2 - 3/4 the moviePlease. If not for Heath's crazy performance the dark knight would be wack.
Yeah but... that was like fukking 1/2 - 3/4 the movie
that's like saying "without marlon brando, along the waterfront would be wack" or "without jordan, the bulls would've sucked"
it's completely moot point
Simply the GOAT movie villain in history, and considering these movies are predominantly based on villain vs hero, you're not gonna find a better movie.
Yeah the ending was kinda confusing and didn't really seem to play out, like what the fukk did Joker messing with those gangs at the beginning have to do with anything after that, why was he so focused on finding the batman's identity, what the hell did the scars have to do with shyt, it doesn't matter - Heath Ledger put on the best comic book movie performance in history, and it's not even fukkin close.. hell, without Dark Knight, I doubt the Marvel movies would've even happened, since Hulk was such a bust at the time it came out idk why they would try
I get that, but to me that part just played into the superfluous two-face shyt.to the bolded, he said it himself. He’s just a dog chasing cars. He just did a lot of random shyt for the pure fukkery he just happened to be a criminal mastermind when it came to planning that random shyt. The scene where he burns the money combined with Alfred’s earlier point about some men just wanting to watch the world burn emphasized this. Joker really had no motives or desires other than causing complete chaos. He messed with the gangsters earlier in the film because he was bored, messed with Batman because he was bored, trolled the entire city because he was bored, etc. I think the randomness of the Joker’s schemes is what makes the movie so great.
The only weak point of the movie for me was some of the Two Face stuff at the end, just thought Nolan was biting off a little more than he could chew with that and the narrative got a little sloppy. But despite all that, I still consider TDK the GOAT comic book film

Again, Joker's a criminal mastermind but then lets himself straight up get nicked by Batman for basically no reason other than the movie needed to end somehow? I watched the movie like 3 times before I figured out it was essentially an easy cop-out.
that said, it still made more sense than this new Joker movie, even though they tried hard to give him a backstory. shyt was just Scorses' "king of comedy" with more murder
The Dark Knight was basically just a movie of Joker fukkery. Joker's always doing heinous shyt for no explicable reason, it's just usually he fake dies at the end instead of getting caught for no real reason. I mean he intentionally let himself get arrested, then blew up the precinct. It's like 'rob a bank, escape, do heinous shyt to gangs, escape, choose to get arrested, escape, do more heinous shyt, get caught again.' there wasn't much logic, and even if the point was it's illogical, they could've utilized that plotline a lot more, instead of just having Joker basically let himself be caught just because he's bored.
And yeah we're just splitting hairs at this point, since we both agree it's the GOAT comic book movie
Did you see Watchmen the Director's cut or the Ultimate Cut? If not, I highly recommend both.
I'm not bout to argue with you. I just wasnt that impressed with Dark Knight. It's a batman movie but what draws you in is the villain and not batman. Hell, batman is damn an afterthought in his own movie. That's not a good thing. Now the movie isn't bad, but IW, Endgame, WS greatly outclass it imo.Yeah but... that was like fukking 1/2 - 3/4 the movie
