Tbh, 50's career was already dying before the Kanye shyt. If anything, the manufactured Kanye beef helped him prolong his death. The animal just didn't have the talent for the long hall. Seriously, two albums in and you're already done.

What I remember was, an arrangement made by Jay Z, Kanye, and 50 cent to fake beef for sales. They were to have a war of words. But, Jay Z and Kanye pulled the okie doke on 50 and went very quiet after 50 was making jokes about Kanye. What it did was made 50 look like a Bully and in turn, people turned on him. I remember news footage of people buying 5 and 10 Kanye CDs, the fight was fixed and 50 didn't even know it.

Kanye made more music that was somewhat relatable to people, and it's hard to fail with crossover music that he was creating. That sales tactic was all a marketing scheme and it worked on both parts.
Never put it together that they tried to wipe out gangsta rap. Wow. And Kanye was my idol

it was a delusional bet all things considered. Kanye made the best music of his career with Graduation and at that time, 50 was making the worst music of his career. If it had been Graduation against a GRODT-level of quality, Ye would be an afterthought.
