Worked the current President into calling him :mjlol:

My 10 year old self fell for it too :wow: I immediately called my dad after it happened and he told me he wasn't dead :russ:

He then called me two weeks later to tell me that Benoit's death was indeed real while I was confused watching a teary Vince in the ring in an empty arena

Damn, I was 9 :pachaha:

For ten minutes after they went off air my lil ass was like :mindblown::dwillhuh::gucciwtf1:

Benoit definitely left a huge Black eye in Pro Wrestling , but I wouldn't say he ruined pro wrestling. That shyt may have very well been the nail in the coffin though.
Either way he did irreparable damage to the business but the neckbeards will blame everyone else but happily suck off that child murdering piece of shyt

What nail in the coffin? The WWE is still going strong despite the constant reports of its demise, it wasn't at the attitude era level of popularity anyway when Benoit murdered his family.

It was genius how they led up to it. Vince saying he was the genetic jackhammer, how he and Linda was gonna make another baby, then the feud with Trump, head gets shaved, he starts wearing durags n wins the ECW title n says he's extreme, feuds with Cena saying HE's the doctor of thug-a-nomics, loses the ECW title, starts sitting in a rocking chair looking depressed at the wrestlers entrance, then his limo explosion.

:wow:

Let be honest, this shyt was gonna have a terrible ending just like the Higher Power angle. The real tragedy that happened was a blow they still haven't recovered from.
The intentional and unintentional fukkery from that angle was sure to be high based on them kicking it off with a damn limo explosion. I'm sure the angle was gonna be worth the price of admission. :heh:

:francis: Brain damage is no joke. That's what I came away knowing from the whole thing. Man was 40 and had the brain of an 85 year old with Alzheimer's in its advanced stages. My friends grandmother had that. After a while, whoever they used to be is long gone. The conclusion we all should've reached after that happened is that they need to actually protect their guys and not just try to make it look that way the same way the NFL does. Instead we still get guys being pressured to work through injuries and being punished for getting hurt. I don't think there were even any red flags that something like this would happen.
