Petty looked ok against the Redskins and shytty against the Giants. I mean the Jets don't have all the time in the world here and carrying 4 quarterbacks is legit idiotic. If they don't think Petty can be a starter then move on.

Thing is geno wouldn't net the Jets much he's on the last year of a contract. Teams aren't going to want to give up much for a 1 year rental. And *if* he played well could field multiple offers from other teams next year.
At best they'd offer a conditional 6th or 7th similar to what we got fitz for,who also was on the last year of his deal.

I think fitz will either get injured or his stats won't be anywhere close to last season while we finish with a worse record.
I think the team moves on and geno will be gone as well.
