The product overall is trash, plus it's basically stream as you will tv. It's easier to pull up the highlights of the show rather than sit through 3 hours of it live. Besides why watch the show when they will take a feud and you know they will stretch it over a span of 3 months.
Ratings have declined every year and attendance has been iffy. People obviously aren't "still watching". :leostare:
in comparison to their boom but they are obviously still doing something right to have basically been out of the ppv business this long and not miss a beat in revenue. Having networks offering 2 billion for trashdown :mjlol:

They offer live programming 52 weeks a year in an era where networks are desperate for it. Not hard to understand.

The brand split is not going to survive another 2 years

They're in a tight spot because while Fox is giving them 1 billion over five years, USA is giving them 1.2 billion. So USA will want them to take precedence but at the same time Fox is free for everyone so they have dilemma on their hands.

sick of all these sky is falling reports yet nothing ever happens. Ppl will be disgruntled reminisce about the 80s/90s but will still watch regardless:russell:

Preeeeetty much...

Even the ones who claim not to watch, yet they know every fukked-up thing they don't like. So you know it's trash but you never watch. Bet. :pachaha:

Now DON'T GET ME WRONG... there's people who legit stopped watching... but they really stopped watching. They ain't sittin' up lookin' at WrestleMania for 6 hours only to go online and give it a 4/10. They DON'T WATCH, don't know what's goin' on, who's gettin' buried, nothing. Even if it was INCREDIBLE right now, they wouldn't know cause they really don't watch anymore.

But these "it's so terrible that's why I don't watch" people been sayin' that shyt for 10 years, lol

They're literally banking off the bubble that is overevaluation of the viability of live TV advertising.

and laundering money

Actually there's plenty of people who dont watch WWE much anymore but still follow it in a general sense. With all the options on the internet, video clips, review sites, podcasts etc it's quite easy.

And WWE only further encourages this behavior with the product they choose to produce. Why would I spend 5-10 hours of my week sitting through weekly WWE programming with their clumsy storytelling and frequently awful execution when I can watch one hour-long review show on everything that happened and more?
