Youre not going to find it in 10 songs since rap music in general sets aa's back as a whole. You really start noticing this when you travel to foreign countries and people think we all act like a 2003 rap video.

That list is :flabbynsick: without mention of this song

I'm surprised not a single lil John or Yin Yang Twins song made the list. Chief Keef should be a worthy mention too.

“MyBabyDaddy” – B-Rock and The Biz
“Your Momma's On Crack Rock” – The Dogs
“Chickenhead” – Project Pat ft. Three 6 Mafia & La Chat
“Baby Mama” – Three 6 Mafia ft. La Chat
“First Of the Month” - Bone Thugz N Harmony
“Because I Got High” – Afroman
“Chicken Noodle Soup” – DJ Webstar and Young B
“Pants Hang Low” – Plies
“That Baby Don't Look Like Me” – Shawty Put ft. Lil Jon & Too Short
“Get Smoked” – Lil Mouse

Bonus: “Chain Hang Low” – Jibbs

I'd rather forget most of these songs exist, but :stopitslime: @ First of the Month being on the list. That's a classic.

Bolded don't belong. As much as I like First of the Month, it's a glorified welfare carol. I can see why it's on the list.

how the hell did you even remember that song

How can I not remember it? I use to mess with BET Uncut real heavy back before I had internet access. I remember all the joints. Waxamillion's joint "Panties on the dance floor", Black Jesus "What that thang smell like", Tip Drill, Dolly Parton, all the classic rap porn videos.

I need a smiley that packs more disappointment than this one here, something that is both disappointed, disgusted and hurt all at the same time...

Hip-hop is way past it's prime. :salute: to the real era, when there was a message behind even the "vilest" of lyrics. Hip-Hop nowadays is doing nothing but harming the youth in general, not just black youth, though they probably stand to bear the brunt of the damage.

lol... I really dont like you... lol...

How can you say that the only affect that hip hop has on the community is negative. Seriously. This art is the voice of our community. It is the beauty that emerged from the chaos crack caused in our neighborhoods. Its timeless, and will be discussed and studied for ages. I can go on and on.

Sure there are songs that are silly. Songs that discuss things that we should not be proud of, but its still amazing because it reflects real life. And is very true.

I literally cannot believe you just said that.

oh for sure there are a lot of songs that speak to people, I'm sure even some of these could be seen as a positive...to some...in certain situations. I was being VERY broad in that comment.

I LOVE Hip Hop and the voice it gave THE PEOPLE. For a time it was a glimps into the life of people who were under/poorly represented, again it gave a voice to the people.

The issue i have now is that that voice is all but drowned out by ...something else (corporations, money, drugs, etc, etc, call it what you want). My gripe is with the loss of that voice and it being taken captive.

The art of hip hop is dead, it is now a product. ...well SOME art persists, for the most part it's a formula now, where people are created, literally created who have little to no talent.

Art used to imitate life, it doesn't anymore, life imitates art.

"back in the day" you were who you were because you were real. Now, as i see it, people and kids are who they are because they have to conform to "art". Artist set trends, that wasn't the case when hip hop first set the scene. There was a culture that was reflected in hip hop, that's lost...mostly, every now and again you'll see it but for the most part it's lost.

Hip hop has no voice like it did "back in the day"

THAT is a reflection of life.

Explain to me how:
90% of the shyt you hear on the radio is a reflection of anything.
How many people you know driving a Maybach?
"I do this for my culture To let them know what a nikka look like when a nikka in a Roadster"
:comeon:

That's how i judge music now, really who is it speaking to.

To use one of these songs...
Hip hop was the sister to bizzy bones fuked up brother (corporations, the media, money hungry fools) who stole her stamps...:manny:
