I don’t get it either, wilder took one of the biggest beatings in boxing history, he took a straight beating for 5 rounds straight and got knocked out.
Yeah, showed big heart and that his power is dangerous even in zombie mode, but these are rather about respect, strictly looking at the result, a knockout loss and the beating presuming that will hardly catapult his career to some higher echelon.
Ron Lyle is an atg cause he knocked Foreman down and lost a slugfest for the ages? Is he even a HOF? You know the answer... Lyle is still a boxer many remember to, fondly so, because he was an absolute warrior but that doesn't make someone a HOF-er, let alone an atg. The only exception that comes to mind is Gatti who might have gotten into the HOF rather based on popularity than merits but that is controversial to this day and is used as a reference point in debates about who's HOF and who's not.
I can understand why too, I'm sure even most of the ppl who say Gatti shouldn't be on there liked him as a fighter but the voting board done fukked up there.

Agreed

If Fury wants to go down as the best heavyweight in his era then he only needs to beat AJ and Usyk.

But if he wants people to mentioned him as a top 10 heavyweight GOAT then he needs to beat AJ, Usyk, Whyte, Parker, Joyce, Dubois

People keep throwing around Joyce and Dubois :snoop: Fury wipes the floor with these 2, he will not be fighting either of those I can guarantee you that. He has nothing to gain fighting Joyce and Dubois.

I can see Whyte next, then Usyk assuming he beats AJ.

Then maybe off into the sunset he goes after beating AJ to cement his legacy.

Also, are we just forgetting he beat Klitschko? A better one than AJ faced? He really doesn’t have much left to prove ..

I'm not even an expert on know new Everlast MX gloves are wrinkled just like that. If Wilder had an issue, why not make him wear a more padded glove?

Fury gloves I believe are made by Mx gloves or are very similar, they use horse hair as padding.

Deontay Wilder will be having right-hand surgery next week to repair a broken bone he suffered during his 11th round knockout loss to WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury last Saturday night in Las Vegas.[
Wilder’s co-manager Shelly Finkel says he’ll likely be returning to the ring in April or May. He’s not saying who Deontay will be fighting, but it’ll probably be a non-contender.
Deontay broke his right hand behind the third knuckle, and he has to have that fixed next week,” Wilder’s co-manager Shelly Finkel said to The Sun.
He has to have surgery; the knuckle is OK; it’s the bone behind the knuckle that broke. He’s sore, but he was OK; he was home yesterday.”

Point was, why they pretending they neva seen horse hair gloves before? I saw some Reyes joints that looked wrinkled like that. Most horse hair gloves look like that.

Then the dummy decided to use a glove that he knew didn't protect his hands and ended up breaking his hand again. Why not just negotiate that Fury wear gloves with more padding?
